You can't get any low then this, this is like; Marianis Trench level.
The 2 middle ones have been mentioned many times in this thread and the other two actually have downsides to them. Pomson and hospitality don't have random crits and you are more vulnerable to fire damage. The lack of crits on a weapon with a max crit chance of 65% can make a huge difference when trying to get rid of spies. Yes, they do have their upsides like draining über and bleeding. But getting back 10% über or 20% cloak isn't going to take that long, maybe a few seconds.
It can ruin your tactics tho. Plus, Pomson shoots a projectile instead of bullets, which makes it easily avoidable in big areas, often making a bad-aim engi worthless(if he has no sentry up)

I don't mind the Spycicle dousing a Spy on fire. I DO mind the fire resistance for the next few seconds though. It could be useful like that in escape scenarios where the pursuer has died, but it shouldn't make them immune to flamethrowers.

I dislike when you're playing with someone and they bitch about the team the whole time while being incredibly useless yet insisting they carry the team for example: The other day I was playing on a cp_orange (not even all crits, so it was pretty cool) server and this fucking battle spy comes on and is like I'M GONNA GET THAT FUCKING HEAVY HE'S SO BAD AT HEAVY and he proceeds to shout over the mic all the time while cloaked, revealing his position and getting owned by the Heavy every two seconds, only to be like WOW YOU GUYS FUCKING SUCK LEARN HOW TO PLAY THIS TEAM SUCKS. One time, I was capturing the point alone as a MEDIC and I kept using the help command so he comes up there, looks at me, jumps off the point, runs up to the FACE of the Heavy, and tries shooting him. I don't understand how someone can be that bad and yet think they're the best player on the team.
Hackers. Fucking hackers. Was playing 2fort yesterday, with a hacking sniper on the enemy team. The second you left the base, you got headshotted. The only way to exit the base was to go through the sewers, and those were locked down by sentry guns.
No no, I meant Liberty Launcher is like an easymode DH, DH by itself is anything but easy to use (for me at least). And back to Spycicle and YER, silent killer is a very powerful attribute for Spy to have and YER has a big downside for it while the Spycicle only has upside/downside of melting and it creates ice statues which don't matter when you are chain-stabbing without anyone noticing.
ITT, Opinions. Okay, I really really should not need to explain what the downside of the spycicle is, since anyone who actually plays spy should already know, but I will do so. 1. If you get caught by a pyro, you have no knife, even if you escape. This makes the spy useless til it regenerates, since he's only slightly more effective at direct combat than a stick and can easily be perforated by anyone with more aiming skill than the average rock. 2. Anyone who doesn't learn the distinctive freezing noise a spycicle makes and adjust deserves what they get. 3. As a failsafe against people too ignorant to learn the above, it leaves statues that say "A spycicle spy is somewhere nearby." In general, it's very bad for stealth, due to the statues, the noise, and the fact that it lets everyone know a spy is in the base, which is already bad for the spy [editline]17th June 2012[/editline]
Ladies and gentlemen, behold the lowest of the low of this fandom. It's kinda the main point of the weapon. Aside from stabbing, of course.

To the right "person," those are worth a lot more than it cost to make them. it gives me an idea 10+ for "eris wwet panties" and "Lord English's Kawaii Felt Pantsu." Each.
That's the tradeoff for being far more likely to be able to escape if caught by a Pyro. It's kinda the main point of the weapon.
Which is why Roo's point about it having no downsides is utter bullshit. You want a weapon that has no downsides? Try the pomson.
But it's not really a downside. Loosing your weapon for a short period of time is better than dying. Unless you still die anyways :v:
I've no real problems with the spycicle. When I play with it the loss of the knife is more annoying than it's really worth and when I pyro against it it's still pretty easy to know he's a spy even when he's not on fire (I can hear the extinguish, at least) and kill the guy. I think one should still take ~50% fire damage bu no visible flame, then it'll be fine.
Well it's a good thing Valve has such excellent counter-measures to prevent hackers, namely the fact that the game costs $20 to play in addition to the very effective VAC banning system oh wait
Actually, the VAC Ban system is extremely efficient. It randomizes when the hackers will be banned from a few days or hours to several months. This makes it harder for hackers to know what "works and doesn't work". But on topic. I hate it when a heavy-medic duo just come into a random pub server and stomp everybody there, with almost triple the other teams highest score.

What the fuck is up with my game? On my favorite server my ping is 50 ms and everything is fine But now its like fucking 120 ping and my player keeps fucking freezing every time I get in front of enemies and getting me fucking killed making this game fucking unplayable WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON
oh yeah let the people you know are hacking do it for several more months just to throw them off, makes perfect sense if you're high
Hey, I didn't come up with the system, so don't shoot the messenger. And it really does kind of make sense, considering there's often more than one hack per account, and it would take a very long time to find out which one activated VAC. Secondly, by the time they did figure it out, there would most likely be enough complaining for Valve to actually look into it and do something about it.

For a while now I've been wondering why the Charge n Targe has guaranteed crits no matter what the distance. (as long as the shield hits the victim) Because I do remember a long time ago before the Splendid Screen came and made demoknight 100% more annoying, that crits were never given unless you did a full charge. I went to the wiki and.. and it's been like this, for almost a year now.
Well at least the Charge'n'Targe isn't completely useless compared to the Splendid Screen if they both have that bug. Still completely bullshit and in dire need of being fixed.
I think it's just the Splendid Screen that needs fixing, the Charge n' Targe is fine as it is. The +70% damage from right in front of you in the press of a button is ridiculous, and at the press of two buttons, it'll one-hit kill almost every class. Also, I don't think the Charge n' Targe does have crits for the whole charge. If you equip the bottle, charge a short distance at a wall and swing, it doesn't break. Once the bar reaches red, though, the bottle will break. I do this every time I spawn, so I do know this is the case :v:

So I dunno. [editline]aha[/editline] Oh wait, it's cause you're hitting a wall. If you were to hit a player, it'd crit no matter the distance.
