There's way more regular keys than there are scorched keys and you can buy them for cheap ($1.30-40) on "black market", bypassing Mann Co. store. And again, scorched keys are in high demand and time limited after all.

No matter how impractical it is, as long as there's less of it it will go for more. Speaking of the economy, I'm clinging onto the hope that TF2WH or some variant of such comes back because dealing with the Outpost is giving me a migraine. I actually wanted to trade my Zepheniah's Greed Buckaroo's Hat for an Ol' Geezer. I'd have to buy some Zeph's Greed paint for it too, and I had pretty much enough credits for both. ...But I used my last few points to buy an Outdoorsman for 5000-something credits before the price would shoot up due to the Apparatchik's Apparel being released. I still have 300 credits there though. Hope they go back up soon.

Give them a few days and it should get sorted out.

As long as there's customization, people are gonna do this and the best thing you can do is either do ignore it or you could... no, wait, that's the only thing you can do.
