Friend a' mine has "Wait Stop... HAMMERTIME!" and "Beep Boop Son, Beep Boop" bound. First one is for kills with the Homewrecker, second one for Market Gardener.
During my scrap & crap banking days I had tons of nametags, I was selling them for 1 rec each. Like, 4 months later I wanted one and oh man how surprised I was when the trader demanded 1 ref 1 rec. I hate it how the prices went up just because some douchebags wanted to profit more.

Getting reputation at least for me has never been that hard. I raffled off a clean Team Captain, All-father and strange Rocket Launcher (about 13 bucks or so worth of sheeyeet) and got like 600 or something.
13 bucks to me doesn't really matter so whatever.
I actually have set a goal of 10,000 rep, and I think I'm gonna make it pretty easily.

I think that the whole Team Fortress 2 can get annoying. First of all I had to run it on super low (everything set to low + FPS config) just to get average amount of FPS when no one is nearby, while in HL2 I can go Ultra High + ENBSeries. Second, they nerfed a weapon that was fine (Equalizer). If you had 20 hp that means everything can kill you, one hit and you're dead. But no let's nerf it, but leave that god damn combo degreaser + axetingusher. For me they can remove the +65% faster weapon switch to something else or adjust it. Third thing that annoys me are god damn traders. They will buy stuff from you for hardly 1 scrap and if you want to buy it - minimum 1 rec/ref/key/bill's hat/max head/earbuds.

This thread almost as a whole has gotten over this entirely, I believe. Please don't bring it up again.
I remember seeing this one person that was complaining how terrible overpowered the FaN was, how it was super unfair, and made sure to let people know in chat that he was extremely disappointed in people for killing him with it.
The kicker?
He was using the Soda Popper and bragged how fitting and perfect it was for the Scout.

In all seriousness, I've seen a few. Servers are usually aflame with people talking to them until they leave.

One's an admin of one server I played long ago, and the other one's on the Achievement server with her boyfriend.
I'm friends with one, from and old community I used to be an admin for. She doesn't play TF2 as much anymore, I'm sure she got sick of the constant stream of people constantly bugging her.
There's two in the same little Steam community as me.
One's really good at TF2, one's really good at L4D2, both are pretty awesome.
I've seen more than a few of the "LOL SO YA IM A GIRL BE NICE SILLY BOYZ ~<3" types and they're easily the worst people to have on your team.

This is because TF2 is a multiplayer game with far more content than HL2, regardless of how poorly optimised it has become. Pretty sure it also uses a more recent version of Source, too.

re the girls in tf2 thing, I agree with toten's comic, most (read: most) girls I have seen in-game have been fine and just been doing normal things that I have no problem with. I in fact find it is more the larger male population of players that turn girls in tf2 in to an unpleasant ordeal. As soon as the person is discovered to be a girl, the server which may have in fact been mostly silent before drops their shit to be overly nice and trying to start a discussion with the girl, 'do u want medic???' is a common occurance (or 'I'll go medic 4 u'). Just as wonderful are the few that still make the hilarious 'get bak 2 kitchen lol' jokes, which are equal parts laugh riot and original material, not to mention I'm sure pleasant for the recipient.
So all in all, girls in video games = no problem, guys in video games = what the fuck. Just go about your business exactly the same way as you were before, and things will be less annoying, creepy and weird for all parties involved.
I've encountered FAR more girls in-game that just do the same thing as everyone else - playing the game. And it's still more common that the [i]guys[/i] makes the situation awkward when they start acting like they've never seen a girl in their entire life and starts to get really creepy.
Of course, there ARE certainly the "I'm a gurl gamer, worship me but don't hit on me you silly bois xD" type, but they are a lot less common than a lot of people seem to think.
