Let me put it this way: I enjoy the game, enough to customize my classes with snazzy stuff, but I'm not that great at it. Still, it's one of my favorite games, so why wouldn't I try to get cool stuff?

Someone was selling a S. Sticky launcher with 14k kill as a selling point. He giftwrapped it so the kills wouldn't reset. People paid more for it.

A guy laughed at me and declined to trade for my S. minigun because it was only gore spattered while his rocket launcher was wicked nasty. I have not used strange weapons since.

I'm annoyed at what TF2 had become. Sure there's a lot of new weapons and items now but the gross side effect is the new breed of players TF2 created.

Trades like this: [url]http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/3394782[/url] Obviously yeah, it's a strange set and all, but strange weapons were introduced to show and track your own progress. It's like this seller bought the items with express intent to oversell them, didn't even bother to get a kill. THE MAD MILK HAS A PART ON IT WITH NO BLOODY SODDEN VICTIMS. He could've wiped them, but it doesn't seem like it.

The only stranges I keep are ones given to me by friends. It just breaks my heart to see what is essentially a personal little kill tally tossed around like filth just because.

If you were to give me a strange nowadays I might end up trading it a week later. I noticed that getting stranges actually kills it for me. Awhile ago I kicked ass with the flare gun so I decided to get a strange one, and once I got it I couldn't hit a damn thing and it wasn't fun anymore. Same goes for the grenade launcher, scattergun, etc etc.

I main Heavy, and it's at roughly 6500~ kills right now. Reaching Hale's Own status for it is just something I look forward to. Personal achievements and challenges that makes the game a little more interesting than it already is. Much like collecting rare items and getting the hats you want.

I swear to God every crit is aimed at me. Me and a group a friends were messing around with bots, and there were two instances where a Scout turned a corner, magically knew I was there, and critted me, one instance where I walked up SILENTLY behind a Medic and Heavy and the Heavy turned at the last second and crit minigunned me, one Pyro that crit shotgunned me from across the map, and the most ridiculous one was I somehow got killed by a critical SENTRY. (No one on the other team had Buff Banner or anything like that, I wasn't debuffed or anthing.)

Sentries can minicrit off of Buff Banners and Jarate.

I've gotten totally random crits on sentries before. I think they're just incredibly rare. [editline]9th August 2012[/editline] also has anyone noticed that you can't upgrade buildings while they're building themselves to the next level?
