i'll try it but on every other map and every other wave nothing happens but this one and there isn't that many bots tbh, it's something else i think

That was pretty much the exact cause when it happened to me, but it wasn't the Binding of Isaac one.

Should really turn the mipmap filtering back on. That really will not affect the fps in the slightest... People always turn it off and get it in their head that 'shitty blocky textures' equals 'higher framerate'. This is one of those situations where it doesn't. If we were talking about turning off AF, different story, but mipmap filtering? Just leave it on and stop fooling yourself.
I gave the matchmaking a go just to see how it would do and after 4 minutes of waiting for a payload map it put me in a server where my ping was 170 (along with pretty much everyone else).
So I went to the server browser. First result: Valve tf server #1, badwater, 20/24, ping 21
What the hell is the matchmaker doing?

Turning down texture quality (mipmapping) does improve your FPS, although very slightly.
That isn't the main reason to use it though... Reduced texture quality also reduces the amount of visual noise. Granted, many users don't benefit from this, but Chris' maxfps is written primarily for competitive players (which is implied in the config itself), and most competitive players value practicalness over prettiness.

I guess it's different but mipmapping does give me a great deal of a performance boost, my card does not support mipmapped textures too well.
The 'Zombie Fortress' and 'Advanced Weaponizer' Modes.
Now, here me out for a second here, truth is I absolutely [i]love[/i] these modes and played them constantly at one point in time.
However, Zombie Fortress has a very cheap and easy system to exploit, and will [i]always[/i] end in one Team spawn-camping the other. Its an inevitable occurrence. It also really sucks the fun right out of the mode, killing it seconds flat because someone has discovered a cheap tactic, that eventually the rest of the Team will follow through with, and in short, everything from there on is one-sided.
As for the Advanced Weaponizer, it has nothing to do with broken exploits. Rather, it has to do with the way the mode is handled, in a sense. The joy of using custom, unofficial, user-created context is squashed flat when you realize the new weapons your wielding is missing its own model, or rather, [i]missing a model entiely[/i]. Countless weapons I've come across in that mode either lack an original model, world model, textures, and even first person models. Some have only one of these issues, others have more.
In short, It makes me sad that I haven't seen the smallest bit of hope for a 'revamp' or even just a small little update to fix such annoying issues from both modes made me lose hope entirely and gave up on them quite some time ago.

I remember there was a perk in Zombie Fortress called "wise". Don't exactly recall what the specifics were, but it was something akin to players gaining damage resistance based on a percentage of damage previously taken. Some guy in a server used it on medic to great effect, essentially rendering himself invincible thanks to the natural self heal and broken perk. It got to the point where backstabs, somehow, didn't kill him.
Dude kept using it over and over, claiming it was "to show how broken the perk was".
Zombie mode to me is just a clusterfuck of poorly implemented ideas. The only maps that really seemed to be any fun were ones that recuired teams to push from point A to point B, and most of the perks seemed horribly contrived, situational, and imbalanced.
Also Demoknights were broken as fuck.
Gets an awesome kill with one Demo
The area is secure and the Demo I helped is aware of me

Activates High Five taunt
Demo goes past me and leaves
My reaction:
Hanging in there spamming "Jeers" and "Negative" voice commands
Every time I try to start TF2 since MvM, it has to validate files.
That takes an annoying long time.
Then, by the time it finishes, I've lost the interest to play.
[b]FUCK[/b] Sv_pure, it fucking ruins my fun.
I get erratic fps followed by crash on map change/disconnect.
I can't use low poly models so I get crap fps and I can't god damn play with below 10 fps.
Why do people even USE this shit? What's the exact reason I can't play 50% of the servers out there?
Then there's the times when you wait 5 or more minutes to get a Mann Up game, and you lose the third wave, and everyone goldarneded leaves, making the last half-hour a complete waste.

While you are unable to apply wallhack textures to models, I'm thinking you're able to use custom textures like so to become able to see through walls.

I probably wasn't too clear : Mipmap FILTERING should be left on. That will NOT affect performance, the overhead is simply negligible. Dropping mipmap [B]texture quality [/B]will of course improve performance, but disabling the filtering will pretty much do nothing at all. That's what I meant...

When I complained about the whole team thing, it happened [B]three[/B] times in two days - each time I actually tried to play. That's a legitimate thing to complain about.
Yeah, I can switch servers, but it doesn't make it any less retarded.
I remember a couple pages back someone noted that spies were banned on a server. Are you going to tell him to just play somewhere else, or are we not allowed to comment on what annoys us in a thread about things that annoy us?

I still don't see why sv_pure is enabled on MvM servers.
And like seeing through walls in [i]tf2[/i] would give anyone that much of an advantage.

I always think that Valve must make SOME files to be blocked by sv_pure. Textures? Yes. Sounds? Some of em such as Dead Ringer uncloak sound etc. but not for those that doesn't even have any effect on the gameplay such as the invulnerability sound (You and your patient only hear this), killcam etc.
After all that work. Hours and hours and hours. After many failed retries, I've finally completed the whole tour.
Both Nano and I get a Botkiller Knife. The absolute bottom tier Botkiller that nobody wants, or would ever dream of 1:1'ing for a Flamethrower for Nano or a Minigun for me. I'm not doing another tour. It's such a pain... but I guess this is a curve-ball in response to the game rewarding me a Tin-1000.

It's supposed to be hard. That's the whole point.
It doesn't seem fair for new players though. They couldn't dream of playing this game mode until they get their heads together.
The rewards for paying to Mann Up usually end in disappointment though.

you cant even do that anymore, they blacklisted transparent textures on things that arent supposed to be transparent. theres no reason to use svpure

edit: Like svpure would even stop real aimbots or wallhacks, I've seen more people annoyed at it than actual hackers in a server.
