lol you guys aren't even fighting about the homewrecker anymore.
I said "homewrecker pyros", not "Spherithex". Fuck man, calm down.
Shit son, I wanted to get out of this argument about ten years ago.
I mean that in a friendly way, if there was a "Sorry" rating, I'd give you one, but I guess I'll go with friendly.
[editline]when[/editline]
And then I saw this, never mind
Then you definitely choose the wrong person to argue with, no offense.
How 85% of the trading economy buys the *said game* only for promo items and not to show that you support the developers that made it or you're a fan of it.
"Who's Telltale games?"
"Killing Floor sucks and so does their promos!!"

I think they should have either
1. Not made promo items tradable/lose their genuine status when traded
2. Require that you unlock some achievement in the game you bought to unlock it in TF2
The only promo-laden game I've bought (so far) is Quantum Conundrum, but I got it because I love puzzles (it's awesome, by the by, I'm fixing to get the DLC in a few weeks when I'm done finally playing Fallout 3)
Oh, also got Portal2 but I preordered way before the badge was announced.

But devs still get the money.

This.
...As soon as possible, please.
Also, the items aren't very genuine if you didn't buy the game because you had interest in it, are they?

But I like owning genuines.
I can kind of understand not wanting people who didn't preorder the game to have them, but you could make the same argument about vintage and strange weapons.
"He didn't have it before trading, why should he have a vintage?"
"He didn't unbox it, why should he have it?"
I use the Lollichop because of 2 things that annoy me about Axtinguisher and Homewrecker (also because it's awesome and has an amusing taunt):
1. Whenever I carry the Homewrecker there is either no engineers on our team or no spies on enemy team (or the spies suck so bad there's no need to help engineers) and because I like meleeing I prefer to deal full damage, though Homewrecker kills feel good too
2. I get overconfident with Axtinguisher and get myself killed stupidly, I also don't like when people cry about op axtingushur when I puff n sting them, they don't seem to mind being puff n flared though
Highlander on double cross.
My god it was a solid stalemate for 25/30 mins.
....until half of us rushed the sewers and won 2-0

I got it too, it looked like it'd be awesome.
4 FPS.
(By the way my computer is shit)
I don't hate the weapon, I just think it's overrated and too situational. I do hate the people who use for, for in majority always acting like glorified assholes.
The Homewrecker is certainly used a lot, but it's not overrated, not at all. If anything is overrated, it's Puff n' Sting.

Real men finish enemies off with the shotgun
What the hell?
I was just in a sniper slump (my aim was shit) so I started using the Dydney Deeper, so I could at least support my teammates.
I can't bodyshot ANYONE.
I switch to the default sniper rifle, and headshots.
What the hell happened?

Just aim for their head as always, regardless of what rifle

I'm up for the first option, making them non-tradable.
For example, I bought Quantum Conundrum because it looked interesting, but I can't play it on my computer, but atleast I get to keep the promos, that's good enough until I can upgrade to a half-decent PC.

That wonderful feel when you Puff someone with the Backburner and Sting them with the Powerjack.
It feels like this:

[sp]Yeah, maybe this belongs in "Stuff You Love", but since we're discussing Pyro melees...[/sp]

Your subconscious is messing with your motor skills just to fuck with you.
Well the majority of you tend to act like complete fucking jackasses to anyone who doesn't prefer weapons that forces you to be the Engineer's guard-dog, we're doing a fine fucking job preventing people actually reaching the sentry instead of just standing around like a moron removing sappers.
Seriously though, the main reason I hate homewrecker Pyros is because of of you think you're better than everyone else. You're not. You're using a gimmick situational weapon that occasionally allows you to remove sappers from the spies you failed to prevent reaching your teams sentries. Pyro's who use the homewrecker are not bros, you're just slackers, hanging out with slacker engineers who are too goddamn shit to remove sappers from their own damn sentries.
God damn, I use the homewrecker to one shot minisentries.
[sp]Dick x 1[/sp]

Circle strafing and flaming the sentry takes it down in less than one second anyway, so it's not really worth equipping the homewrecker just for that purpose.
I hope I'm not the only Pyro that's committed to scratching all the backs of its foes.
REALLY?

he then continued to trade me begging for me to give him "rare stranges", then demanded after which I ended up blocking contact with his account 100%
seriously, you add someone then you forgot why within 5 seconds?

Det-scratchanator Pyroamer master race.
Jump around and use healthpacks to cover the (absurd amount of) damage one takes (for so little of a jump but still) pretty awesome on some maps.
The Homewrecker is certainly used a lot, but it's not overrated, not at all. If anything is overrated, it's Puff n' Sting.
See, this is the exact attitude I was talking about. Everywhere I see Homewrecker pyros , I see them whining about how much better they are for using the Homewrecker instead of the Axstinguisher. Therefor, I really, REALLY, do not like people who use the Homewrecker. I also don't like the weapon itself, for barely ever having been of any at all use to me what so ever. Really, I find it as useful as the default Fire Axe (which is to say a little since it still has a situational upsides and looks stylish as fuck, but in general isn't useful often enough).
[editline]6th September 2012[/editline]
I really wish Valve would add team colors for the fire axe, I'd start using the fire axe again if it did. It looks fucking bitchin' alongside the Flaregun and Brigade helmet.
[editline]6th September 2012[/editline]
Also don't go complaining about how "it's unrealistic for fire axes to be painted blue". Fuck that, it's not at all too much of a stretch to think that Blu would make custom team colored Fire Axes simply by their strong sense of wanting to not be associated with Red in any way, there's a lot more things in the game that makes less sense anyway.
That I haven't played TF2 since the beginning of summer or something like that and there have been so many new things so It's like playing a newer generation Pokémon after playing the first ones.
Degreaser, so much.
I mean, to me it feels like a straight upgrade. That's why I hate it.
Oop, there goes my 5000th post

A straight upgrade does 10% less damage and an extra 25% less afterburn damage? Interesting.
A straight upgrade does 10% less damage and an extra 25% less afterburn damage? Interesting.
If I'm not mistaken, the 10% less damage doesn't exist since all flamethrowers were given a 10% boost to damage during Pyromania.

Degreaser didn't get the boost so it now deals 10% less damage than default flamer.
