the phlog is a secondary weapon?
I tried to edit my post but it made my iPod crash :S You know what I meant.
I wish I could play Phlogistinator. But I'm too conditioned to airblasting crap.
Phlog is nothin more than a pub stomp opportunity for pyros. You play against intelligent people while using the Phlog and you're fucked. It's fun to dick around with, but by no means is it better than the degreaser IMO. Plus redirecting a crit direct hit into his medic while he has full über is WAAAY better than crits
To be honest, I was expecting an ukelele guy joke.
I hate seeing pyros w+m1ing with the backburner, because I know its these guys who give it such a bad name. But really, I hate w+m1ers in general. Less because they kill me (I usually play pyro myself, so they make good shotgun food) and more because they are giving everyone the impression that pyro is a noob class. There isn't anything wrong with occasionally charging forth and setting everything on fire (If you go on a suicide run/get an uber deployed on you/if you are blazing) but for god sakes use some other tactics and use your weapons properly. Ive seen people w+m1 with the degreaser ffs, why would you even use the degreaser if you aren't going to switch weapons? TL;DR: I hate w+m1ers that give the Pyro a bad name.

I totally asked for this, I have no excuse.
Nobody thinks the pyro is a noob class anymore. Just browse spuf: heavy is now considered the easiest class to play.

So many times. Also because of those W+M1ers the backburner gets called out to be a noob weapon. I've heard people say "Only noobs use the Backburner." Oh yeah? that so? Then come at me: (Yes, I'm shamelessly linking to my own video here) [editline]15th March 2012[/editline] In addition, those pyros who use Degreaser+Axtinguisher aren't any better, that combo is in my opinion also really cheap and easy to use.
In addition, those pyros who use Degreaser+Axtinguisher aren't any better, that combo is in my opinion also really cheap and easy to use.
But it's so, so, so much fun! Fun to use, fun to hear kiddos scream "Nob, lern how tu ply" etc.
But it's so, so, so much fun! Fun to use, fun to hear kiddos scream "Nob, lern how tu ply" etc.
It's cheap, you can basically W+M1 with that, except that you have to press Q once your target is on fore. And it's no satisfying, as it is easy. I've seen F2Ps going on a rampage with that, which should be a sign that it's easy to use.
Nobody thinks the pyro is a noob class anymore. Just browse spuf: heavy is now considered the easiest class to play.
Oh hell no. He's such a sitting duck to every explosive and bullet coming his way, he can barely get out into the field without having everyone crowd him. Heavy is really hard to manage, unless he is babysat by his teammates. If he has a pocket Medic, THEEEHHN he's the easiest class to play, because he can sponge off pretty much everything without worrying when to pull away or take cover. With a Medic, Heavies need worry not about flanking or being flanked (for the most part), because he can just run in head first/retaliate, willy nilly, shrugging off any extra damage he would've been taking without a Medic. Of course, this way, it's pretty easy to rack up the kills when you don't die, especially for the strongest class. If the Heavy takes care of his Medic, it's even a bigger problem. But if he lacks a Medic, Heavies have to retreat so often that they aren't even a huge threat. People that are complaining about Heavies are probably facing one head on, alone, when the Heavy has a Medic. I get pretty peeved when this happens, especially on tiny, 2-5 player teams, because yeah, without that Medic, you could just heckle the Heavy until he's out for the count. Bonus points if your teammate(s) back you up. Heavy is only piss easy under certain circumstances, which applies to every class.

If you get a good friend, and heavy/medic with them, then it is fun as fuck. Personally, I prefer to use Soldier, jumping up to a vantage point and raining rockets down on my foes is wonderful, even though I rarely hit anything, it's still fun to see the enemies panic as they try to avoid the splash damage.

I feel like a moron, but it's the only thing I can really do.
One thing that is bothering the hell out of me currently TF2 is a hardware issue. You know how TF2 Particle effects are bright and vivid? Like a solid whitish-blue glow coming from the Medigun and eye-catching Unusual effects? Such as these. http://steamcommunity.com/id/xieneus/screenshot/596960603327180820/?tab=public Well I used to have those on my old Nvidia GTS 240 and DirectX 10. Until I upgraded to the Nvidia GTX 550 Ti and installed the latest drivers and DirectX 11. Now it looks like all the color and glow has been extracted from each individual particle. http://steamcommunity.com/id/xieneus/screenshot/451722154143178478/?tab=public http://steamcommunity.com/id/xieneus/screenshot/469736198871880479/?tab=public It is the most annoying thing for me right now, knowing that TF2 doesn't look as good as it used to on my system. I contacted Steam support and they said they're looking into the issue, but it could be a very, very long time before something happens. Anyone else having this issue?
It's the only weapon that effectively counters uber, and I never had any issues dealing with it. The uber is the most powerful thing in the game and it was about time a weapon made us able to do something about it without having to kill the medic. Ei If he fired it from afar, it's your fault for not dodging. If he fired it point blank, it would've been worse with any other shotgun. Either way, medics are only aroused everytime playing medic is made less of a cakewalk.
yeah just dodge it right also play with people who are actually good and Medic is not a cakewalk at all
Ahh gotta love Source hitboxes
yeah just dodge it right
Watching video's with that type of screen dimensions....everyone looks like disembodies arms. Also Last week I has 2 strange smg's accidentally traded it to the ware house for 100 credits. This week.....Most expensive strange secondary for the sniper on the warehouse.
This week.....Most expensive strange secondary on the warehouse.
It's just 2,750c
It's just 2,750c
I screwed up. most expensive strange secondary for sniper.
His point is that a weapon that drains cloak and UBER uses the very generous projectile hitboxes. Hell, that looks like it's using collision hulls (melee "hitboxes") to be honest.
His point is that a weapon that drains cloak and UBER uses the very generous projectile hitboxes. Hell, that looks like it's using collision hulls (melee "hitboxes") to be honest.
Yeah, and you know what else uses these hitboxes? plenty of other weapons that would maybe not drain your uber, but KILL YOU. So a measly 10% cloak drain from a predictable projectile should not be an issue for a class that is supposed to be dodging sniper fire for their lives.

But to me it's just the icing on the cake. A weapon with infinite ammo, infinite range, uber drain, cloak drain (not to mention how every tick of damage drains cloak when a spy is actively cloaked. In other words, one shot will almost completely drain a spy's cloak!) It's not one or the other of the effects, it's the fact they are all in one weapon that makes it a bit iffy IMO.

Pyros, if I could ban the people who play it I most certainly would
Pyros, if I could ban the people who play it I most certainly would
I love people like you. The hate against Pyros is like music to my ears. A really good music.
I am not really sure what to do when playing pyro. I hate being judged alot. That's why I sold my snaggle set as soon as someone pointed out it was 'nooby' What should I do? Currently I have Degreaser+Reserve Shooter+Homewrecker and defend nests.
