You say medics are hard to kill then proceed to say you're good.
Look here's what happens: The medic is obviously going to try to retreat if he's alone. So he starts to back to his base while spamming that syringe gun / blutsauger. So you must chase him to kill him. This puts you directly in the syringes line of fire. And those things HURT like HELL. They crit like crazy. And forget keeping a distance and picking him off with your pistol since he can pretty much outregen that dps (not really, but you won't be able to kill him). It's best to just fire a shot or two, and if that didn't kill him, just forget about him. But tbh it's very rare to come across a lone offensive medic and it's a matchup that really isn't that interesting or relevant...
MOVE TO THE SIDES AND JUMP. God dammit.

Lol Turbine 24/7.

(or befriend me on Steam)
Turbine and Doublecross are two of the maps with the most sentry-bunkering tho, due to the nature of the flag's importance. Not that it's impossible, the Scouts I regular with usually find that one spot from which they can pistol down my sentry without getting shot at themselves - usually from the vent. You usually need a push from heavy classes to take down multiple sentries tho, or a Soldier that can corner well.
Medic clearly needs to be bumped up but still under the Engineer, because in a situation where a Heavy, Medic, and Soldier fight over a teleporter, I think Medic would still take priority over them both.
Frequent Medic here, unless I'm really really really needed at the front, I have no problem with a bulky class going first. Let them attract the heat and give me some damage to heal. Nothing more silly than a lone Medic rushing to a front that doesn't exist. If the tele is up, chances are the Dispenser is as well, too.

Rarely do I see a lone Medic battling against a whole team. If the teleporter is doing it's job, they're should always be at least one or two buddies for the Medic out there. But yeah, the order of who take the teleporter is pretty iffy, it always depends on the situation.
Are Valve Servers = "Play Now!"-servers?
The scattergun is only a tad bit better than the shotgun, and it only takes a second for the pyro to switch weapons. And if the scout uses the pistol, then the pyro can just retreat or duck behind cover and wait for him. If the scout follows him he gets melted by the pyro at close range. You should really stop playing on valve servers.
lol, tell him to stop playing on Valve servers when you're the one apparently meleeing Heavy/Medics to death as Sniper The basic technique described by Rad is actually exactly right, you can stay out of flame range and still do good damage with the Scatter (look up what a difference the extra 25% ramp-up makes) That's not even considering the Shortstop either, get good with it and you'll seriously never die to Pyros
Oh, oh, here's one. Say you're under attack by a heavy/pyro/whatever. He's clearly got the advantage so you turn tail and run. You see a corner in the hall ahead, promising temporary safety if you can get behind it. Just as you get around it, the guy chasing you suddenly gets crits and BOOMBLAMKAPOW you're dead. For me, this is one of the most annoying things to experience as a scout.
Piece of shit weapon, but very fun indeed :) And it's the coolest looking one.
Piece of shit weapon, but in all your screenshots, you're using it. Please, tell me more!

Yesterday I had 5 Kills/27 Deaths. I'm getting good at TF2.
I only use fan, It's one of the more entertaining weapons in the game. And probably the only reason for me to play scout.
I only find it useful on defense.
He did say it's very fun. Maybe he wants to have a fun game.
He should play Counter Strike.
He should play Counter Strike.
...from my CSS days I don't remember a rapid-two-shot-shotgun that sends people flying across the map.
I've recently started playing TF2 again after, and I decided to play a couple of hours on Valve servers to "warm up". And after playing for a while I started to notice that there was a relatively large percentage of players who wore unusuals or other rare hats and had strange weapons with rather high kill counts, and these players always play in groups. So I obviously recognized them as pubstompers. But this is so sad, they are organized groups of players who only play on servers where the new players go to, with the sole purpose of getting higher ranks on their strange weapons and to get the feeling that they are good at the game. And the absolute funniest part of this is that they are rather bad at the game. While they are on the top of the scoreboard (which isn't very hard considering that they are playing on valve server) they are really easy to take out because they have such flawed tactics. And they only have four types of class playstyles: The Black box soldier, The stickyspamming demo, The pocket medic, and the DR+Enforcer spy. Wow this was a bit incoherent, but you probably get the idea; The 1% of TF2 are boosting their egos by killing new players with their stranges.
there's few things better for boosting one's ego than going to a Valve or Lotus server.
Know what annoys me? The Liberty Launcher. Almost every Soldier uses it, it makes being Soldier really easy. I mean you can kill Scouts even better without predicting where the Scout may run, you can just shoot and the Scout weon't be able to dodge. It's even more effective against Pyros. I want to punch whoever in the face who thought about giving the Soldier an item that gives him the ebility to kill people more easily without putting more effort into his playstyle.

It's just Direct Hit on easy mode. I've actually started using the Direct Hit. It's awesome.
I never saw much reason to use the LL. I can barely use the Black Box due to the lack of a 4th rocket, and the extra speed, well, not that quite worth it. Crutch weapon, good for learning some basics, but it is a cross between Vanilla and DH, and either of those are more powerful with experience.
The liberty launcher is DH in hard mode IMO. It has a smaller magazine, slower rockets, lower damage, and it doesn't have the ability to score a minicrit if you shoot someone who is in the air. And the increased blast radius don't really make up for it.
DH only minicrits if the person in the air was blasted up there by explosives

And the increased blast radius don't really make up for it.
Yes it does. The direct hit could take out 4 scouts in 4 rockets in a cramped hallway, But the LL, because of normal blast radius, could take out at least 5 with those 3. The blast radius is a compensator for not being able to aim or lead your rockets with the DH or RL, respectively. This makes it much easier for new/bad players to hit farther enemies but they have to gimp themselves one rocket. Any soldier worth his weight will use the Vanilla RL.

The Liberty launcher takes the Soldiers weakness of doing damage on a distance (as targets can simply avoid rockets), but with the faster rocket speed, you actually can hit further away targets.
I've never been that great at soldier. I find the normal 4 rockets crippling, that's how bad I am. Generally the LL and BB are dead to me. Also, hitting someone in mid-air, who had to be shot up there with explosives, is quite difficult. I'm not sure this information is correct, but based on experience, making someone jump up with a rocket is ridiculously hard, especially with the DH. And getting a hit to land on a person while they're up there is stupid difficult, even with the DH's increased launch speed. And when I try to do that I usually end up blowing myself up anyways. Though I'm not sure anyone else would agree, since I suck at soldier. But still, the LL is not too OP in my opinion, usually it doesn't kill me that often. In fact I don't even remember what the kill icon looks like. Oh. I seem to be best at scout right now, with about 170 kills on my soda popper (screw you, I don't care what you say (although I actually do, kinda)) and about 240 kills on my sandman. I seem to still have a Bonk! Atomic Punch that's not craftable from the days where I thought buying weapons and hats was perfectly fine and profitable. (Stupid, I was, but give me a break, I was very new.) Also I have a vintage baker boy with After Eight on 'im. Sometimes I even have more kills than deaths. For some reason I can't play any map other than 2fort. I'm not sure why, but ever since I got on an American 2fort skial server I can't stop playing it, and every other server ever made doesn't play so well. Also, what happened to Coldfront?
Medics that Uber a Pyro - usually me, with my luck - to take out a sentry... and then just fucking stand there and watch the Pyro get barely in range to do damage as the Uber ends. [editline]25th March 2012[/editline] And then bitch at the Pyro for 'wasting the Uber.'
Medics that Uber a Pyro - usually me, with my luck - to take out a sentry... and then just fucking stand there and watch the Pyro get barely in range to do damage as the Uber ends.
Panic medics piss me off. In 2fort once, I was a heavy with a medic, and there was a sentry up in the enemy courtyard. A scout walks in on us and shoots me with his scattergun, and he activates his god damn ubercharge for a fucking scout. I didn't even get him in time before he ran away, so there we were standing like morons, with nothing to do with this wasted uber. Bull. Fucking. Shit.

Glad I watched a YouTube tutorial tho, very rarely see it being done ingame.
