Phlog+ Flare+ Objector.

Default flamethrower + Shotgun + Homewrecker. Balanced Pyro with a slight emphasis on defense. Had more than one Engineer tell me they loved me after I killed the Spy that got them and removed the sappers.

Degreaser + Reserve Shooter + Axetinguisher shit-tier race. I'm still experimenting with loadouts, but I just love the fast weapon switches. [editline]6th April 2012[/editline] Degreaser + Flare Gun + Homewrecker for Pybro.

My "Skill-Thrower V2.0" Phlog + Detonator + homewrecker = Because fuck spies unless I'm playing spy then fuck pyros! Little known protip: The detonators explosion can destroy stickies, safer than airblasts.

Stock Flamethrower + Flare Gun + Axtinguisher for me. :v: I use the flare gun A LOT. (and not just popping it towards the distance and hope it hits someone type of way)

I use the degreaser, but not for crits-on-demand. I only use it because I use the shotgun as a primary weapon, so if I run out of ammo for that, a crowd shows up or a spy crosses my path, I can just whip it out and torch everything. Melee is the fire axe or objector, but sometimes swapping to the homewrecker.

Jesus fucking Christ. Joined 4 servers in a row in the span of 20 minutes, every single time I got put on a team being Steamrolled. Why the fuck do I bother. Can anyone recommend some servers where the players generally suck less ass but aren't quite so good they'd wipe the floor with you if you aren't a competitive player?

Being Steamrolled isn't fun. Steamrolling the other team isn't fun. Stalemates aren't fun. There is a very small window of actually enjoying the game to the fullest. I want a so-called server that you described as well. I'm above pub level (at least I think I am), but I don't stand a chance against people who go full fledged career[class] on me, without proper backup. (Which is pretty fucking bullshit considering they always attack me when there is no help in sight)

Fact that there was no update today. :(

I think the Shotgun is Pyro's best weapon. Seriously, if you are in range to burn an enemy, just blast that fucker with 2 shells. At that close range, he will drop dead instantly.

Running faster is always helpful, and the reduced bullet resistance is small enough to not have to worry too much about but still big enough to make a difference.

F2Ps: Do not care for, shoot anyone and everything Normal players: have everything a f2p will moan and cry about, For example. i have a f2p friend asked for my Batter's helm for free to craft a bonk helm. Also I am saddened to see less Pyros using the Backscratcher. When there is no Medic on your team, which is often, it is a straight upgrade. The higher damage is great, the healthpack bonus really helps (132 for a Medium healthpack, holy shit), and doesn't rely on you getting a kill to heal yourself. Plus Mr. Royzo made it.

Of course any other use of the detonator will give away your position. The main drawback with this setup is you're invariably going to be a lone wolf. The backscratcher helps a lot with this, and can also deal some sweet damage if you ever run out of primary ammo, or just kind of want to have fun.

It annoys me that the Powerjack was nerfed to rely on random crits. It was by far better when it had 25% more damage.

Spy backstabs you while he's midair in front of you from your point of view, so it's better to backpedal [i]before[/i] he jumps. Spy will assume you're still following him, even when you're already far behind, and jump anyway. Then you just let him land in front of you and rape him. Just keep in mind that you need to act a bit sooner than it seems.
