I love the Scotsman's Stove Pipe, and I seriously can't stand these "ogm but eet looks liek jeebus" people.
I just wear whatever I like, really.
For example, the "Cuddly heavy" with Toque and such might be overdone, but I love how it looks so I use it.
On the other hand I love the Tam O' Shanter on the Demoman, I NEVER seem to see that hat on any other demomen.
So a bit of this, a bit of that. At least I'm not using Bill's/Buds/Deus Specs on every class :v:

People who complain about weapons. Not unbalanced stuff, but actual sidegrades: Sleeper, Kritzkrieg, Backburner... Just today one of the regulars of the server I play at pretty much threw a tantrum at the Sleeper, calling it useless because of the lack of headshots, and rebuffing all attempts to explain why it has its role as "it can't headshot", all while defending his beloved Machina. Cue rival snipers doning the Croc set, and cue him raging because of his inability to kill them with headshots.
Also calling the Backburner overpowered, saying it does too much damage. Nevermind the fact that it does what the vanillathrower used to do, that it lacks random crits, and that the airblast penalty is heavy, but at least you can use it.
Or complaining about spawn killing. In the first 2 stages of Pipeline. As their bomb reaches the destination. In a server with no respawn times.
Playing as scout, turn a corner. SUDDENLY FUCKING FLAME THROWER BURNING YOU TO DEATH
This happens so much.
This damn feeling when you're running behind a burning Medic juuuuuuust out of flamethrower range and use all your voicecommands and chase him across the map and yet he dies on top of a medkit because he refused to turn around. Made worse by the fact that even a special context-sensitive command wouldn't work because mmph mmph.
I really need to set up my mic.

I'm getting tired of seeing people who pretend the demoman doesn't have a primary, specifically ones who equip the wee booties and just spam stickies to no end, and then they claim that they are "pro" at the game.

I generally only sticky spam if my target's something powerful like a sentry or pocket medic couple or to block off paths for faster moving classes as they start gaining on me in a chase.
Then again I mainly Demoknight with the LnL so I don't use stickies that often :v:

When real in game weapons and not custom models don't have the glow from crits by capping a point or something like that. As silly as it sounds it REALLY makes me not even wanna use the weapon.

I tend to use stickies to drop against sentries, set up traps or to deter people from following me, but I admit I've gone into panic mode before and just spammed stickies in an effort to get away or finish someone off.
Was giving the Saharian Spy set a go last night. Gradually getting used to it, only annoyance is the sheer amount of times I need to use a DR.

Other cloaks are just as good, you can pretty much stand right behind someone decloak, stab, re-cloak. I miss my Familiar Fez, even though it was uncraftable someone offered a clean Backbiters Billycock for it. I wish I could have both but I'm totally out of metal.
The other thing that's been annoying me is a Pub Stomping spy who's been following me and mates around lately on servers, for the sole intention of destroying us for his amusement. It doesn't make you look skilled, it makes you look like a total twat who I'd rightfully hit a plank to your face if I ever met you for sheer annoyance and douchebaggery. -.-

Despite me having a Bill's Hat, I try to be unique sometimes. I wear the Horrific Headsplitter on Soldier because of the fact he doesn't have a 'Hatless' hat and that headsplitter is as close as I can get. I don't care if everybody thinks that hat is bad, I like it myself...same with Scottsman's Stovepipe.

I used to do that with a ScoRes. Then I did with the stock sticky launcher. Then I added a loch-n-load and I wonder why I didn't do this in the first place.

Just think; have you ever seen anybody using the Cadaver's Cranium? I have not, and I doubt you have either. It's not a case of the quality of the item being bad; it is honestly pretty good-looking. It's not even an expensive or rare hat. But yet you never see anybody wearing it.
Compare this to the Team Captain, or the Toque. I have seen endless amounts of people wearing them, using almost exactly the same miscs with them. People tend to wear the most expensive things they have, even if they themselves think that the items look bad.
Have you ever seen anybody wearing the Pencil Pusher, Horrific Headsplitter or Dealer's Visor? I have never seen anybody ever using one. [i]This is because they are considered "bad" hats by most of the community.[/i] If somebody crafts one, they'll most likely complain and recraft it, instead of wearing it, even though these items look good. Ever seen a Handyman's Handle in-game? I thought not.
This is all from personal experience, though. I'm not saying that nobody uses these at all, I have just [i]never seen somebody using one, ever.[/i]
Another thing I noticed is that when a hat gets updated in some way, you see everybody scrambling to get one. Just look at the Private Eye; Everybody thought it was fucking terrible, and hated it. All of a sudden, a wild Nine-Pipe Problem appears, and everybody's scrambling to get a Private Eye, gotta have the bad-looking hat to go with my new misc, just so I can have the set![/QUOTE]
I kinda know how you feel about the Toque. I don't think it's a particularly good looking hat. I think the Pugilist's Protector (which is my second dropped hat, which dropped 2 hours after the first) is a more fitting and better looking hat for the class and yet I rarely see it.

sorry, but booties + SL is a death sentence against non-horrible scouts and pyros.
The major upside of that loadout however is that it teaches you the weaknesses of the stickylauncher, which is something ALOT of people need to learn.

Mining Light is also cool,don't really care if "lol its unnoticable it doesnt make your epeen grow bigger" i personally think it's one of the best engie hats
Something that was bugging me really bad in the past few games, when I'm doing an amazing job as my class but I know if I don't switch to medic/engi/pyro we are just going to lose. Someone has to play a god damn support class or we can't push/defend and if we don't have an engi on defense I feel bad for even knowing that we're going to be steam-rolled. I just love to baby sit sentries, no complaints when I get to play pyro.
