Man, you're just a well of knowledge. Now, do I still use Source Recorder to be able to use it in Movie Maker (or hopefully something better)?
Does anyone know? I'm working on this at the moment, but I can't do anythinge else if I can't record something that I can then edit, add sounds/music to, etc. Do I record the demo with source recorder? Or bring the .dem to another program?

Yeah, that should work fine. Just play the demo then record it with Source Recorder, whilst doing your drive and all that.
To record yourself from another angle (assuming you thirdperson and it following you isn't enough), then you have to record a demo with SourceTV. Use tv_enable 1 to enable SourceTV. Then use tv_record <demo name> to record.
I enable SourceTV using tv_enable 1, but when I do "tv_record test" it says SourceTV is not active.

You have to type "map <the map you're on>" after you use tv_enable 1. Then when it loads up, there should be a "player" named SourceTV in spectator. If there is, then tv_record should work.
