Thank you? I shamelessly ripped it from this comic: http://filesmelt.com/dl/1253885394.jpg http://filesmelt.com/dl/1253885414.jpg
I used the Demo from the same panel during the Soldier vs Demoman war. And for a month or two after, was too lazy to change it.
It was disabled then I gave him a new one with tf2.
any news on this?
Okay I'm never taking free hats off anyone, fuck I don't want someone to claim I scammed them.
I broke my no more trading vow. I gave a heavy mask and 2 crates for free in the FPUK2 server :buddy:
I broke my vow so I could play and get sackston hale :smith:
only in steam you can get all your games taken away for stealing a couple pixels
ive been losing respect for many developers lately i hope valve doesnt become one of them
They're just fucking digital hats, people get too worked up over them.
They're just fucking digital hats, people get too worked up over them.
The only hats of worth is the polycount pack hats, and that's only because they complete sets. They do nothing to you nor your game, and I don't see a point it other than to trade it off for something else. People get so worked up over something that has no value.
Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, I may be misinformed.

And by that you mean it's worth nothing.
Hi. My account was disabled roughly 4 days ago. I haven't been playing TF2 for at least a week since I've been visiting a game development company across the country.
I came back and my account was disabled. No reason given.
I have +44 games on my account. My account is tied to lots of steam groups that now can't post announcements or be monitored at all.
I've never scammed anyone. I've done a lot of trading but I've never done any dodgy trading. All trades have been with both parties agreeing upon the trade, and never have I traded more than 8 items.
I'm the creator of TF2Ware, VS Saxton, FortWars 2 and a million other mods. I can't update their pages anymore.
I submitted a ticket 4 days ago but no reply yet. From the things I'm hearing, people aren't getting their accounts back. That'd be a huge waste of my money as I have legally purchased all 44 games that I own.
I don't care about hats, items, keys or whatever, I just want my games back.
I have legally purchased all 44 games that I own.
Meaning you purchased a license to use the software(the game) and that license can be removed at any time without notice(account disabled) for any reason(trade scamming) or no reason at all. In other words, you don't own your game and Steam doesn't need to inform you why you had your account disabled.
It sucks that you lost your account, but that's life, try playing TF2 now, instead of wasting your time playing Hat Collector 2.

You honestly don't seem to be a very pleasant person. Every time I see you, you're showing no sympathy at all and instead telling people that they shouldn't be surprised etc. etc.

They shouldn't be surprised at all really... If they haven't heard of all these "perfect little angels that have done nothing wrong and never scammed and still got disabled" then sucks to be them. People need to learn that TF2 is for playing, not trading. If you ask me, Valve is doing it on purpose to get people to stop idling.

I think you need to read up on the definition of "idling", and also go to a psychiatrist.
If he says he sees no reason his account got disabled I feel sorry for the guy, I know he makes amazing mods but that's not why I got sympathy for him. His account got disabled for no legit reason at all, that's why I got sympathy for him.
Someone should send a Steam ticket for him or something, Valve doesn't like replying to me for some reason.

You're a big egoist.

What would the point of that be?

In case you haven't figured out by now, Valve doesn't need a reason to disable someones account and there is nothing you can do about it.
[editline]31st October 2010[/editline]
In fact, they can close the Steam service right now and no one would see their games again and no one can do a damn thing about it because they are not required to keep the service active.

Tell me a bit about your childhood.
Tell me a bit about your childhood.
Typical childhood, goto school, come home and do homework plus chores then hang out with friends. Generic stuff, what's your point?

Yeah, I read their terms of service.
but how can I play TF2 when my account is disabled? As I said previously, I don't care about items, I just want my games back.

When they eventually replied to me, they gave me my games back. I then pestered them asking what I actually did to get banned and why my items were removed, they then gave me my items back too.
Just bringing these things up seems to make them give you your stuff back, so give it a try.
And good luck getting everything back.

You're being unreasonably unfriendly and unsympathetic.
I don't believe anyone ever naturally choose to be a bad person, so I'm wondering what circumstances formed your hostile nature towards other users.

What's unfriendly about what I said? It's the truth, I don't sugar coat shit to make people feel better. I also don't see the point in sharing his feelings.
