I feel unique. My account was disabled over a trading debacle.

Also, you are positive that this trade is why your account was disabled, right? Because remember how people were talking about how Valve might not like people crashing servers with the Scout thing? And I see this on your account:
"You're breaking the damn server trying to get that scout achievement"
So I'm just wondering. It probably was the trade, though.

Wasn't related to that glitch
I hate the policy Valve has, basicly 'We can take your games away anytime we want doop the woop'.
Must be so horrible. My steam account is like a treasure chest full of all my favourite video games and friends that I can get easy access to. Good luck.
I am seriously thinking of making a separate account for every single game I buy. This account disabling is the shit.

Yeah... I would even be okay with it if they had just disabled my ability to play TF2, but there's a lot of games I did nothing to deserve this sort of thing in.
You just can't be sure anymore.
//Eh, automerge borked.
I sent a letter to Robin aswell:
Mister Walker,
It is really painful for me to write that sort of letter to the busy man that you are.
Despite the fact that I am a long-time customer who has been trusting Valve for years, today this trust is getting more and more fragile, because of a ridiculous situation that involves virtual items on the game Team Fortress 2. I would like to point your attention on this story:

It is sad to see that you can get your Steam account suspended for this. There was no irrational use or abuse of the trading system, and yet an account worth of many dollars got banned. I feel bad for this man.
Furthermore, this demonstrates that the Steam Community "report" feature has a serious security problem.
I hope my message was clear (I do not speak english) and that I didn't waste your time with that mail.
Best regards,
Tom
Best of luck, pal.
This is like a TF2 idiot cull, it's rather scary that hats cause all this shit to happen.

but
I'm not an idiot
:saddowns:
hats ruined tf2
This is insane. Valve should be sued for this.
Why do kids love the word "sue" so much? There isn't shit you can do about the situation.
I just keep away from people who say like ''looking for <weapon> will give <hat> or nametag'' etc. now, because no doubt people are cruel enough to just report it as a scam.

While that's true, no need to be condescending

I wasn't insinuating that you are, it's just preposterous that so many people (not you) will go out of their way to get as many hats as possible, and in the process, they get banned and because of their actions others get banned for no legitimate reason.
Well, yeah.
I miss when TF2 was just TF2 and not TRADE LUGERMORPH FOR CHIEFTAN HAT PLS MEN I NEED
Goddamn, when I think about it, I don't believe myself I agreed to steam policy. It's like giving your jerky friend money instead putting them into a bank account. He may keep them safe for you, but he also may run away with them.
I've been called a scammer before but luckily I hadn't made any trades

Haha
I could imagine a VALVe employee combing through your records then just facedesking
"Not this one, Robin. No dirt on him."
I can't wait to see Robin's response on this.
I think you are all going over the top, the issues will be resolved and until then if you are worried don't do trades or anything
But drama is more fun!
To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if Valve didn't reactivate your account.
Fake hats are more important then someones $150 Steam account. :downs: Valve shouldn't even be doing this if someones hats get stolen or whatever they should be like "Well its your fault" and do nothing.
Oh dammit I just realized that one of my friends has been giving me free hats this past week :ohdear:
Would they automatically disable my Steam account, or do an investigation?
hats ruined tf2
I agree in a sense, It would have been better if everything except trading come with the update.
It was something that looked good on paper, but terrible in practice.

The end is nigh. :tinfoil:
If hats weren`t so rare, there would be no problems.
Remember when we played TF2 for fun?
Remember when someone's status in TF2 was defined by how good he played and not by how much hats he had?
Those were good times.

Somebody will always be dissatisfied
