Then they sat on the second floor of the house and threw down waterbombs at anyone who came up.

It's an amazing game that can be so much fun if you've got a nice group of people to play it with.

If you want to compare it to older games, then do so. It's better looking, less serious, more OTT and with some seemingly more creative units, but it's also lacking the charm that old C&C games apparently had, even if it does have its own. It's a fun game, but not one of the "classics". In the end, that's largely what a game is really for, simple fun.
