It's not like at that point you can't just create a plethora of alt accounts for this purpose.

Having a bit more security for the main account is worth risking a throwaway alt account, especially when more accounts can be made.

Hmmm, installed Ubuntu via Virtual Box and downloaded steam through the browser but when I actually try to start steam it tells me it's not connected to the internet .. great.
