You know, this little penguin I don't actually particularly want is enough to make me want to actually try ubuntu. This is a bad place to ask, probably, but how quick is it? Windows 7 has treated me well, but sometimes it's just a little too slow for my tastes, especially with graphics programs. A half-second is a long-ass time when we're talking about pen strokes. And people always mention swiftness when it comes to this, I think.
[thumb]http://puu.sh/22FS7[/thumb]
The "Ghastlierest" Joke was alright, but not that funny. The "Festivest" joke is just pushing it.
i am surprised there was no valentine thing or brutal promos

I'm using it on a very low-end PC, but even that manages to run LInux at great speeds.
Can we expect another update next week for the brutal promos?
I can't seem to launch the steam runtime due to file space on ubuntu? any fix?
I can't seem to launch the steam runtime due to file space on ubuntu? any fix?
I restarted and it fixed itself for me. Restarting seems to fix all of my problems so far, except for not being able to click anything in steam.
Fixed! nvm!
Decided to install Linux. An ex-friend of mine reccomended it to me a while ago, but now seems like the perfect time to try it. I put the files on a thumb drive, booted up the installation... And I love it. I feel like I'm on a brand new computer. I seriously reccomend it to everyone here. You can install it along side Windows/your current OS to keep your files intact. It's 100% free, comes with its own versions of MS Word, PowerPoint, etc, and hey, you get a penguin.
Yeah, I might keep my Linux if I can get the hang of it. Might have to reinstall it since I think I installed the wrong one and get this i386 error. It still feels very Mac-like to me, and despite having used Macs several times in my schools I've never fully adjusted to the style. I'm still a Windows person at heart though so I'll probably use it more than Linux.
man. how long does it take to decrypt?

Been using Windows since I first learned how to use a keyboard.
I like how I got errors, and I still got it. cool
Could anyone please share where the actual tf2 game files are saved at? I can't find the location and Ubuntu freezes when i try to search for a particular file/folder lol. I need like the actual directory location .. so i can just copy over the files.

so does ubuntu overwrite windows, or does it just install itself? I'm new to this
so does ubuntu overwrite windows, or does it just install itself? I'm new to this
It depends on how you install it. I'm using virtualbox: http://www.psychocats.net/ubuntu/virtualbox
-snip- [editline]14th February 2013[/editline] so i'm doing virtualbox with linux, and if I don't come out alive, you must always remember me
It will defiantly take a while to get used to, for me at least. Been using Windows since I first learned how to use a keyboard.
I hate it when it's hard to get used to stuff due to how defiant it is.
