Yeah I am really not feeling these.
Between the generally bland looks and the sixty dollar price tag I am REALLY not feeling these. I don't even care if this is the "sequel to bioshock they always wanted to do," I am not paying sixty dollars for something that is not tangible AND comes with day 1 DLC and a $20 DLC Season Pass.
the soldier helmet is pretty much the only good one
All the good Bioshock Infinite promos are rejected in favor of lame ones. Fuck life. Preorder cancelled.

We're working on mandatory updates for Team Fortress 2, Day of Defeat: Source and Half-Life 2: Deathmatch. We should have them ready soon.

Hope there's more to the update than just these promos because the only thing these things are good for is selling them to get a discount on the game.
I fixed that up for you there.
Yes. Because writing the contract first is the most prudent thing in this situation. There's no way to work out contract issues later in order to reward someone who shows initiative and love for the property. Nope. You write the contract with the first opportunistic bastard to throw themself at you seeking promo bux, and serve up whatever uninspired steaming heap they present you with.

I have this awkward feeling that it would've been a FoS reskin...

Just like the menpo.
EDIT: ooh, wait, that WAS something that was made months before the promo, and was chosen as part of it. My bad.

Yeah. The Menpo was created entirely outside of the promotional deal, not specifically for anything. Ronin was hired by Sega anyway so they were able to just put forth this pre-existing thing because it was just a generic samurai thing and not specifically a "TOTAL WAR: SHOGUN" thing.
The Bioshock Infinite promos up there were made specifically with Bioshock in mind outside of any form of contract. That's what makes them unusable.
Why didn't they show this in the store image? it's the best out of all of them.

It's like the execution started self harming.

No, they wern't contracted for that promo. Bang and SVDL where, and the menpo sidestepped into the update because they saw it a while before, and liked it.
Wait the heavy hair's called The Pounding Father
Who picked up that name and went "yeah that's alright"
Cut the middleman, no need for nametags

what are you talking about that name is easily the only good part of the update
Anyone else getting a 190MB update?
I think it may be prudent to escape from the TF2 economy. The game is being flooded with half-assed, lazy promos. It's essentially turned into a dumping ground used purely to bring up pre-order numbers on other games.
