Paul Robertson?
they're at 3% for the tier 2 of the bioshock infinite pre-order stuff (which is the tf2 hats)
Also 32 days until the game comes out.

Nah, the not talented one. Bryan Lee O'Malley.

Shut up he is talented, have you read Lost at Sea, brilliant comic he wrote and drew
It is both of those things.
If it makes you feel any better the lead character designer for Skullgirls is a woman. So, you know, when you're getting an erection to cartoon breasts later on you can rationalize it by remembering that a lady drew them so it's not sexist, it's sexy.

Meh. I just don't think highly of an "artist" when the first thing that comes up when you search his name is his tumblr.
I've glanced at Lost at Sea, but haven't given it a serious chance or anything.
I prefer the likes of Frank Cho. That's a guy with talent.
What's your dream project? What would you like to get your hands on?
CHO: A Hooters girl.
wow what, that is fucking awful logic
objectified is objectified regardless of who made it
it's like saying you can't be racist because you're a person of color
Svdl's amazing set wasn't picked for a Bioshock promo, but don't worry. One of his items is going to be used for the Skullgirls promo:

It's the exact same image why does it matter?
valve themselves have no idea what to put in it and now they know they're fucked
So why do we have a PDA slot anyways? It's not like the Pip-boy is used for it.

...Are they particularly objectified though? I mean sure; they're not ugly but generally I prefer not to be repulsed by my character regardless of gender and I'm relatively sure most other people feel the same.
Personally I don't know why everyone is reacting quite the way they are. They aren't extraudinarily over-the-top anatomy wise, nor do I find them particularly erotic.

Generally a lot of people use fan-service as an excuse to release sub-par games (i.e. Catfight the video game). It's true that a game can contain fan-service and still be a great fighting game (i.e. Street Fighter and some of the Soul Caliber games) but with a relatively unknown game developer, We don't know which way they will go (in terms of porting the game to PC, apparently the console versions are great).
I though people showing off their sexiness was considered empowering for that person to do. They have control over other people by showing those people they have something the observers don't or something the observers desire but can't have. Sex isn't bad, I have no idea why anti-sex feminism is the dominant type of feminism in the news.
Skullgirls plays up the fanservice, but I don't see how it's objectifying. They have character and desires, and they happen to be sexy. It appeals to men/lesbians, but what's wrong with that? It'd be like saying Muscle March is objectifying because it makes the men incredibly muscular and showing off that masculinity, and makes them an "object" in the view of players (even though these people are FICTIONAL and thus are already an "object" we use for entertainment, and thus have no humanity because they don't exist or think for themselves).
It's different for real people in certain situations, but I feel that most people enjoy being thought of as handsome or beautiful, and flaunting it doesn't degrade them as a person or turn them into an object automatically - it depends on the context of said person's actions and how the observer treats said person that makes the difference,. If you're looking at porn, the actress is willingly putting herself out there to be "oogled" and she enjoys and accepts that. Oogling a girl on the bus and treating her like she's a meatsack by cat calling is totally not okay because it doesn't respect her wishes as a person and treats her like she's the physical porn on your computer.
...oh shit, we were talking about TF2, right? Well, hopefully the Skullgirls promos look good, and the game is cheap.
still sad that elizabeth's hooters weren't the bioshock item. they're like, the main characters.
No but it's not like anyone who buys items for promos ever plays the damn game the items are from anyways.
I think some better Bioshock items would be a Big Daddy helmet for Pyro (alternate style Big Sister), a Wrench skinned like the one in Bioshock (reskin of course) and an audio diary that's all class (like Bombinomicon), and when you die, it drops on the ground, and when someone walks over it it plays your death scream. And replace the Pyro oven, Demo eyepatch and bird shitter on the Sniper's soldier. Keep the Boater, Heavy Hair (make it for solly also) and Solly helmet (make it cover his eyes)
The thing is, though, that TF2, um, 'fanservice', and Skullgirls fanservice is for two different groups.
I mean, the women that play Demo, wear the kilt, and spam the KABEEWM taunt (And that is not a joke.), would probably not be really interested in using any Skullgirls hats/miscs, since Skullgirls is more about girls in skimpy clothing while TF2 is about men wearing fairly decent/fairly horrific hats/miscs and overly complicated item descriptions.
And I suppose there's an actual shooter game included as well.
I don't mind promos, but there's some games that really, really, don't fit with TF2. Even more then pinkScout and Demopan.

Lab Zero is a game developer that was screwed over by their former group Reverge Labs. After working on the game, literally everyone who worked on Skullgirls was fired from the company but NOT because the game was bad. In fact, the game sold very, very well for an indie fighting game (it was just released in Japan this week and shot up to #1 in downloads and was #1 in its US debut week of being released with well over 50,000 buys and currently sits on both PSN and XBLA as one of the highest-rated games of all time).
Just recently they held a charity event for a spot at the fighting game worldwide main event EVO, and for over a month or so earned a total of $78,635.97 for breast cancer research (but placed second sadly, due to the insanity that is Melee fans). All this from a single indie game company. This should tell you how much the fans are behind this game. Not only that, but each of the 8 main charcters' voice actors all showed up to big stream events to show support for the game, offering voice lessons, voicemail messages, signed artwork and tons of stuff while saying how much this game means to them. Twice. And the second stream earned at least $40,000.
So before anyone wants to keep going on about objectifying and making women objects, go ahead, but you've got many, many, MANY fans backing an extremely solidly-made game, including 8 women who helped to make the game what it is.
Oh, and if you want to complain about a game with any kind of sexism and objectifying and all this stuff "corruping" your first-person hat simulator, Saints Row 3 says fuckin' HI.

It baffles me that whenever a game is girl-centric people act like the only possible promos could be breasts or other such items when there are alternatives that would meld nicely with the TF2 universe.
Such as Peacock's hat:

I think it's very possible to make fitting promos out of games that don't quite fit with TF2. SpaceChem, Deus Ex, Sleeping Dogs, Hitman, Scribblenauts, Ghost Recon and Red Orchestra 2 come to mind. Subject matter doesn't matter as long as the item fits the artstyle. The theme has been battered and abused long enough where it's pretty flexible, and looking at Skullgirls I can see Peacock's Hat, Valentine's Eyepatch and probably some more stuff based on their movesets being good cosmetics.
Filia = Samson hat
Peacock = Peacock's Hat
Cerebella = Vice-Versa Hat
Painwheel = giant shuriken back item, Painwheel mask
Ms. Fortune = cat head pin, white "scars" tattoos
Parasoul = Black Egret helmet, back umbrella
Valentine = stylized hacksaw, red shuriken cross pin, Valentine's eyepatch
Double = literally anything that can relate to her because good luck objectifying that thing.
There, I just made up several items you can make representing ANY of the 8 playable characters without objectifying a single one.
