I thought this was a no budget indie title?
Well they are planning on selling Skullgirls for money. I mean, that's... that's kind of how the game industry works. You can't half ass a commercial product, or no-one would buy it (I hope). Those budgeting ideas might work on no-budget indie games but for a product that you expect people to pay money for? No-one would go for it.
They have already released a full version of the game on consoles though. Assuming that their fanbase is as dedicated as I've read and believe them to be, The company must have made huge financial mistakes to warrant (what is essentially) a fundraiser. Companies generally release a product first and then use the revenue from selling the product to offset the costs. Why this company is using a pay-as-you-go model for this DLC is beyond me.

they have some big name fighter-game folks behind it

it had budget, that's why they could publish it on consoles, sadly, they're having some issues right now with that publisher, that's why the crowfunding thing, not to mention that they can publish the game themselves on Steam (like Brutal Legend).

From the indiegogo website:
Last June, much of the Skullgirls development team was laid off. This had nothing to do with the game or its sales; Skullgirls’ financial support was simply cut off as a result of a costly legal battle that was strangling our publisher, Autumn Games. These ongoing legal difficulties kept Autumn from being able to continue its support for the game. We always had big plans for Skullgirls, and hoped to keep growing the game and its community with new characters and game updates, but without funding, these plans unfortunately had to wait.
While we’ve been able to continue working on the patch and have recently made progress on the PC version with Autumn’s help, neither of these has been able to pay our extremely talented and dedicated art staff. So, in many ways, this campaign is also a last-ditch effort to keep the Skullgirls team together, working on the game we love so.

I came up with how to fix the short circuit:
-10 metal pershot
Can crit (why does it have no random crits anyway? It'd only do like 10 damage)
On crit stuns enemies
Good idea?
Not so sure about the random crits if it can stun enemies. If a solution can be found (such as the stun lasting only 2-3 seconds), then I would have no problem with it.

god this is a class based fps that is a descendant of Quake, not an rpg, stuns don't belong, Valve even admitted that the sandman was a mistake
Here is the exact breakdown

$20,000 for Quality Assurance. Thats 13% of the budget, As an accountant seeing anything over 5-6% is a big red flag to me.
wow that guy who is doing hitboxes is so lucky
wow that guy who is doing hitboxes is so lucky
Hitboxes in 2D fighting games are a big deal, making them for each type on every single frame of every single character and attack is hard work, specially in a hi-def fighter like Skullgirls.
So the Skullgirls team just confirmed that if you get the game through Indiegogo, you get any other TF2 hats they add.
message them and ask them if theyre making the black egret uniform for pyro
Well, guys, I figured I should get it done before the week, er, month ends; I've got Linux reinstalled w/ Steam. Where do I transfer the GCFs to? Not used to this OS still
Also, Skullgirls + hats, do want. But damn, 30 bucks. Dunno if I should go through with it. So many things (mostly games) I wanna buy this year.

mmmm stunlocking deadringer spies with short circuit + widowmaker combo.
short circuit at the least should be an anti spy weapon as well. it should fuck with spy's cloak watch or disable it for a few seconds.
Regarding the supposedly new Adult Swim items posted a few pages back, I would like to see some items from superjail. I was thinking the hat, the glasses and the suit of the warden for spy.
So how will the people who donate be able to redeem their hats?
So how will the people who donate be able to redeem their hats?
activation key via email.
just like the genuine balloonicorn, robo sandwich and portal 2 box.
either remove the metal cost all together or lower it to 5 or 10 and up the firing speed slightly
The Short Circuit needs some kind of setback so you can't spam it. Otherwise in the right hands it would be way too powerful. It's a niche weapon like the Diamondback; not usually used because the other options are much better, but in some circumstances it's a pain to fight.

I feel like messing with the spy's cloak at all is a mistake. It's the spy's meat and potatoes. Spies are an ambush and retreat class, they should be punished immensely if they are seen. Which is why pre-nerf enforcer was such an OP weapon, its damage eliminated the spy's one major weakness while being seen, allowing the spy to go rambo style and kill people.
So by having a weapon that messes with the cloak and makes the spy appear sooner than later, you are essentially making the spy a useless class. As soon as he's seen even disguised as the opposite team, he's dead.
A spy should die due to their own mistakes with not properly timing the cloak or bumping into people, not from a weapon that messes with their cloak.

I thought this was debunked as an error?
cloak is important
i'd agree with you but the dead ringer is a thing.

Probably the easiest way to do it is backup your TF2 game via the Steam client in Windows, then use the backup to install the game in Linux. I did it that way, I used VM ware tools to mount the Steam backup folder in linux and easily transferred it over, though if you aren't using VM ware you could always save it to a flash drive or something like that. After the backup was restored in Linux TF2 was 97% installed so I only have to download a couple of hundred MB.
I don't want to go and read through the last 10 pages so I should just ask now as the topic is still hot;
If I donate 30$ through the indiegogo site I would get all of the hats?

The Enforcer is still like that now. Hell, the entire premise of the gun is to directly reward the Spy for fighting people instead of doing what he should be doing: stealth.
If it were up to me, swap the damage bonus when undisguised for being a damage bonus when disguised. It promotes attacking from concealment in order to reap the benefit of extra damage and the element of surprise instead of just the current one, which is to give free extra damage to Spies who don't disguise at all or are caught out of position.
Spies are proof that the game has gone far away from it's roots. You can play run and gun commando spy with Enforcer, Spycicle and Dead Ringer and get just as many, if not more kills then you would trying to be stealthy.
After all, why bother being stealthy when being obnoxious works just as well?

The sawp would be a good idea, though then if you're undisguised, you'd just have a slower shooting Revolver, thus no reason to use the Enforcer. It'd then need more tweaks.

A change could be as simple as making it a damage penalty when undisguised instead of slow firing speed.
Making the small adjustments is simple, the big beef that most people have with the Enforcer is that the entire premise of the gun is something that should not be tolerated in the first place.
I don't think it should be swapped. That's just a sad nerf if you ask me, you can fire 1 shot while disguised, but as many as you please while undisguised. The real thing is noone holds down the mouse with a revolver, so 20% slower firing speed isn't going to make that big of a deal.
What if you just made it work ala Baby Face's Blaster? Slap on -15% base damage, leave slower firing speed, make it so damage increases based on damage dealt, and disguising will reset the damage to -15%.
Edit: The quarrel between this weapon seems to be some want a good "here you go, you're okay if you miss" weapon, whereas some just want a "rooty tooty point and shooty" weapon, where you can go on some shooting rampage.
I know I'm a little late bringing into the Adult Swim stuff, but if you asked me, I really would've loved some Dr.Venture stuff for Medic. Brock Samson was a bodyguard to the kids and was with the Ventures for awhile, it'd only make sense. Or at least a hank thing for Scout.

You're missing the entire point of this discussion.
The gun is bad because it encourages and enforces a gun-centered Spy playstyle.
Spy is not built to be running and gunning, he's the stealth class, he's the assassin, he's not the Soldier, Demoman, or Scout.
Nothing short of discouraging the Spy from attempting to shoot people unless it's necessary will fix this broken piece of shit gun. Your suggestion does nothing but perpetuate the problem in a different way.

The thing is, that's like the entire complaint for Demoknight. He has no explosives. If people want to be able to play the masked guy who shoots people from afar, then snorts while he laughs at his victim; why shouldn't they be allowed to?
Edit: ie: "make charge'n'targe fire stickies demoknight is stupid demoman fires explosives nto hits with sword"
The one thing I've always wondered why Valve has been (for the most part) reluctant to add is Mustaches. There are literally hundreds of kinds of mustaches but other than a few cosmetics with other attached items, There are no mustaches in the game.
