new stranges festives? are they expensive?
Before we go on You should probably go to a different thread. This is where we make bullshit up about updates. On a side note: 2nite?
have you been living in a (soundtrack) box all this time ?
I think I stopped playing this game after the pyromania update... thanks for your answers, people.
The Engie bot was added as a boss(?) and we got three new weapons, although they were for neglected types of weapons; a new Engie shotgun, a new Medigun (that doesn't suck), and a new Grenade Launcher. We also got new festive stranges and hats, and more Adult Swim cosmetics. Also, I forget if this came before or after Pyromania, but we also got a promo weapon update for Sleeping Dogs.
There was also the Triad Pack update, and Halloween.
The Engie bot was added as a boss(?).
Which Gray says he's smarter than the others. Yet he can only defend himself with his buildings, because he can't use his shotgun/pistol.
Which Gray says he's smarter than the others. Yet he can only defend himself with his buildings, because he can't use his shotgun/pistol.
In fairness, his teleporter's pretty awesome. Teleports 12 robots through at a time.
In fairness, his teleporter's pretty awesome.
Which Gray says he's smarter than the others. Yet he can only defend himself with his buildings, because he can't use his shotgun/pistol.
his robots are op :/ you know how many times i seen a uber and bomb go in at the same time so much i rather ragequit
his robots are op :/ you know how many times i seen a uber and bomb go in at the same time so much i rather ragequit
I know they are, but it's just ironic. wait oops, what's not ironic on tf2?
what if i posted a really obscured image to garner more attention?
Dammit, almost everybody knows something about this update. :suicide:
Yeah, I know that it will suck. Does that count? Edit: I'm just a tad embittered over Valentine's Day updates, especially after the nerfing of the Sandvich and the introduction of everyone's favorite notification.
Edit: I'm just a tad embittered over Valentine's Day updates, especially after the nerfing of the Sandvich and the introduction of everyone's favorite notification.
The Sandvich needed a nerf. It had it coming. Hell, the entire reason they added Sandvich throwing was so that the Heavy could help his teammates, not so it could be a free personal healthkit.
Thought the Medic was the Heavy's personal healthkit. I'm going to get told off for that one.
The nerf mitigated Heavy's capacity to operate independently, therefore kindling my ire. I fully understand that Team Fortress 2 was designed around player synergy, but any attempt by Valve to coerce--rather than suggest--that synergy unveils a terribly flawed game philosophy. Take the original map design, for instance. They were constructed to literally funnel players toward the objective. Now tell me, why is this necessary? Valve wasn't secure in the assumption that players would work toward a common goal? And if they don't want to work toward the goal provided, why go to such great lengths to stifle lateral thinking? Valve adopted and continues to enact the role of a "Nanny Developer," determined to hold the collective hands of their consumers. Are players too stupid to retreat from a taunting Phlog Pyro? Are they crying about it? No problem! Nerf the Phlogistinator! Dumb down the game! The same applies to a decision to nerf the Sandvich, which served a role the Dalokohs Bar should be serving now--to enable roaming Heavies in the absence of a Medic.
bro it healed 150 health instantly on a class that was already bullshit with tomislav and gru how do you explain that
I don't see how it's any worse than getting hit by a Sandman ball or being instantly killed from a player safely two miles away from you.
I don't see how it's any worse than getting hit by a Sandman ball or being instantly killed from a player safely two miles away from you.
Unlike the Heavy, those three classes have, at most, 150 health. No lone player should have effectively 450 health without help from a teammate. If you toss a Medic into the equation, he has effectively 600+ health. Now tell me, which is more bullshit? Dying to a lightweight class or having to put up with a 500+ DPS-spewing 600hp glacier?
Heavy is slow and prone to absorb more damage than your lithe alternatives, making his health gain justified. He has no advanced mobility options and relies on his higher health and DPS to survive. Unlike the other classes, he utilizes stream damage to eliminate targets, saddling him with artificial tunnel vision for the duration of a fight. So yes, being stunned and helpless is more ridiculous than getting killed by a Heavy.
I'm sure everyone would play on a server where Heavy just starts with 450 base health because, according to you, he needs that extra survivability in order to get by.
Not to sound arrogant, but I play heavy pretty bloody well with just the 300hp, and I still consider him overpowered.
the fact that heavies also take 90% of medics' attention means that he doesn't need an extra source of incoming health.
