They'll just make it free for users who had TF2 before [INSERT DATE HERE] and give them a SUPER SPECIAL MISC ITEM. Everyone else who gets the game later has to pay a fee that is much lower than the fee that older users would've had to pay for if they had to pay for the misc slots.

But not these. I'd say logic but a hat is worth more then a mini gun and a rocket launcher in this world.

Only Valve remembering the incantation of giving-it-purpose can break such a powerful enchantment.
