To be fair, that was just a weekly item... Unless you're not implying that it took them 3 months to make the stats for the item.
It was supposed to be in the christmas update. not a weekly workshop item.
I really hope that Meet The Medic will be released for Source Filmmaker. I wanna replace all the Soldiers with robots.
Wait, the Genuine Robot Chicken Hat is actually tradeable now? Sheesh, I expected it to remain forever untradeable :v:
I wonder though if it means the faerie pin will be made tradable eventually?
He, I feel like the only person who misses weekly updates.
I wonder though if it means the faerie pin will be made tradable eventually?
Good thing i have another 2. It's one of the only good looking pins, it looks fancy on the spy.
Here's my opinion on sets: -Special Delivery: Remove the Mackarel from it. It makes no sense to use all three of your slots for something that the Pocket Pistol already does. -Saharan Spy: Replace flicker time with faster cloak draining. -Tank Buster: This is a weird one. While all the items in the set are clearly meant for defense, the set bonus seems like it's made for offense. At first. The set bonus literally puts a stop mini-sentries, while the RL makes it even easier to take down if an enemy is close by. Probably my favourite set, I wouldn't do anything with it. -Croc-o-Style Kit: I hate this one. No, really, I hate it. It gives Snipers an unfair edge vs other Snipers, by making the SS a direct upgrade and 25 extra health. I really think this should be either removed entirely or changed. -Gas Jockey's Gear: I really like this set. It gives Pyros a much needed boost, while preventing use of the Axtinguisher. -Hibernating Bear: I agree with Psychopath. This is a joke set, get rid of the bonus. -Expert's Ordinance: It gives Demos a resistance to a class they can already counter, giving their keepaway options. Out. -Medieval Medic: If the Amputator wasn't a straight upgrade, I wouldn't mind this one.
I will put my opinion on your suggestion in bold underneath:
Here's my opinion on sets: -Special Delivery: Remove the Mackarel from it. It makes no sense to use all three of your slots for something that the Pocket Pistol already does. So basically, you want to have a Scout that can stun you with his Sandman and have 10HP more than a normal Scout? -Saharan Spy: Replace flicker time with faster cloak draining. -Tank Buster: This is a weird one. Why get rid of the bonus? It needs a different/better bonus. -Expert's Ordinance: It gives Demos a resistance to a class they can already counter, giving their keepaway options. Out. I thought the sets used hats because of the downside sets have. That way players opted in to having an advantage while having a downside along with it.
time traveling update confirmed :zoid:
That would seem extremley cool Cave man Items Aztec items Egyptian items Greek/Roman items Renaissance items All realeased in different days like uber and Pyromania I could dig it I just want an Egyptian update the most, because I just fucking love this set
-Special Delivery: Remove the Mackarel from it. It makes no sense to use all three of your slots for something that the Pocket Pistol already does. So basically, you want to have a Scout that can stun you, with his Sandman and still have 10HP more than a normal Scout? You've got a point. -Croc-o-Style Kit: I hate this one. No, really, I hate it. It gives Snipers an unfair edge vs other Snipers, by making the SS a direct upgrade and 25 extra health. I really think this should be either removed entirely or changed. How is the Sleeper a Direct upgrade? GastricTank once said that you lose the ability to scope in and kill any low-health class (or mid-health even) with one shot. While it may be annoying to get bodyshotted all the time, it's far more annoying to take ina good and well aimed headshot. I meant a direct upgrade in Sniper vs Sniper. It's really annoying having all rifles turned into a weaker SS, and it's (probably) the reason why it's banned in UGC. -Gas Jockey's Gear: I really like this set. It gives Pyros a much needed boost, while preventing use of the Axtinguisher. Still needs some sort of re-balancing,since the Degreaser is a straight upgrade. Given the context of the set, I'm gonna have to agree. If you equip the Flare Gun, you still have to way to deal with enemy Pyros, the Powerjack, and it actually rewards you for doing so. -Expert's Ordinance: It gives Demos a resistance to a class they can already counter, giving their keepaway options. Out. Pyros can counter Demoman rather well, actually. The set bonus doesn't make that mch of a difference anyway. Exactly, this, and the Hibernating Bear, make almost no difference in gameplay. The set bonuses should be removed, and replaced with another one.

I thought the sets used hats because of the downside sets have. That way players opted in to having an advantage while having a downside along with it.
I really hate when a game gives premium players an advantage, TF2 is no exception.
You sir, are a moron.
I'd like to know why you're insulting me, sir, I think my opinion is perfectly valid, and you shouldn't be rude about it.
I really hate when a game gives premium players an advantage, TF2 is no exception.
The sets are meant to be sidegrades, no straight upgrades, so it doesn't give Premium players a fair advantage.
I'd like to know why you're insulting me, sir, I think my opinion is perfectly valid, and you shouldn't be rude about it.
Well seeing as all of those items can be acquired through simply playing the game, it really isn't valid, anyone who owns a game on steam can participate in trading, and therefore get the items required for that set, it's simply an advantage for having played the game, and are you going to complain about every single game that gives you items over time? Upon checking your backpack, you haven't actually got the items required for the sets, so I assume all you've done is read what they do on paper and made assumptions, top notch there, you should work for Kotaku.
Here's my opinion on sets: -Special Delivery: Remove the Mackarel from it. It makes no sense to use all three of your slots for something that the Pocket Pistol already does. Do you realize that's for making scout not use any other bat that may be overpowered with the set right? -Saharan Spy: Replace flicker time with faster cloak draining. Majority of saharan spies use dead ringer, that'd make the dead ringer +100% cloak drain, and that's honestly dumb, they can't disguise, that's enough. -Tank Buster: This is a weird one. While all the items in the set are clearly meant for defense, the set bonus seems like it's made for offense. At first. It gives Snipers an unfair edge vs other Snipers, by making the SS a direct upgrade and 25 extra health. I really think this should be either removed entirely or changed. You can easily deal with those snipers with the machina or if you're a good sniper with the same set -Gas Jockey's Gear: I really like this set. It gives Pyros a much needed boost, while preventing use of the Axtinguisher. Once again, disregarding the game -Hibernating Bear: I agree with Psychopath. This is a joke set, get rid of the bonus. this set sucks -Expert's Ordinance: It gives Demos a resistance to a class they can already counter, giving their keepaway options. Out. While restricting you from the stock gl and the bottle, +10% fire damage resistance is nothing. -Medieval Medic: If the Amputator wasn't a straight upgrade, I wouldn't mind this one. this set is fine too.
I'm regretting ordering from ToyWiz.
The sets are meant to be sidegrades, no straight upgrades, so it doesn't give Premium players a fair advantage.
the thing is, the sets aren't sidegrades at all a scout with a shortstop, mad milk, mackerel, and milkman is a 100% complete upgrade over a scout with just a shortstop, mad milk, and mackerel and a milkman takes a considerable amount of metal to craft or trade for, especially if you're new to the game and don't have a lot of items this is a problem
Thank you for repeating everything I've said before, ElGrifuz, that was much needed. And I like the set because it's balanced, smartass. I'd really like to know!

There are much better alternatives.

B) Free players that enjoy the Shortstop + Milk combo, and like to fish people, like everyone else, but don't have access to the Milkman. Just think about it for a little before posting.
I like how you ask Uzbekistan why the offence yet you are, indeed, offending me.
Thank you for repeating everything I've said before, ElGrifuz, that was much needed. Plus, pyros are basically a light class with that set, any class who uses shotgun/pistol/minigun can easily maul gas jockeys with it, the damage resistance is nothing, but being vulnerable it is. [editline]26th January 2013[/editline]
the thing is, the sets aren't sidegrades at all a scout with a shortstop, mad milk, mackerel, and milkman is a 100% complete upgrade over a scout with just a shortstop, mad milk, and mackerel and a milkman takes a considerable amount of metal to craft or trade for, especially if you're new to the game and don't have a lot of items this is a problem
Shortstop is not that powerful like the scattergun, the mad milk restricts you from taking players from distance with the pistol. Basically -20% damage.

Shortstop has about the same range as a pistol.
Free players don't get hats.
I'm pretty sure they do. Other items, too.
First of all, you agree with Uzbekistan's offenses.
Hahaha what.
Second, it's pretty obvious that you don't know how TF2 works, based on your posts
Irony.
Shortstop has about the same range as a pistol.
In theory every hitscan weapon in TF2 has infinite range, the shortstop still has spread, and at long range, you do only have 50% drop off per pellet, but good luck hitting anything

Shortstop has about the same range as a pistol.
I don't.. see where i did agree with him?.. Says the guy who thinks saharan spies are overpowered, I've seen F2P's with hats, i think the term you're trying to tell me is "Can't find hats"?. The gas jockey isn't a direct upgrade, the degreaser is a little overpowered, but aside from that, like you pointed out, you can't have the quick kill with the axtinguisher, and if you're not careful you're really vulnerable to hitscan weapons. It isn't as accuate as the pistol, but that's pretty obvious. Milkman's only resort is the shortstop, when you run out of ammo/need to reload you you can only switch to mad milk/holy mackerel, stock has the pistol which fires faster, it's more accurate and helps to finish off enemies.
Hahaha what. Irony. What irony? I've never made a false claim about TF2's inner workings, with the exception of the RCH's craftability, which I blame the wiki for. In theory every hitscan weapon in TF2 has infinite range, the shortstop still has spread, and at long range, you do only have 50% drop off per pellet, but good luck hitting anything I don't need it, a pellet is always fired straight down the crosshair, unlike the pistol ;)

Milkman's only resort is the shortstop, when you run out of ammo/need to reload you you can only switch to mad milk/holy mackerel, stock has the pistol which fires faster, it's more accurate and helps to finish off enemies.
Oh, for god's sake, it has 10 clips, when are you gonna run out if you're careful? I'm really reaching a boiling point with you two, if you haven't noticed.
At least a pellet?... 1. 1 pellet. i don't think that's going to be really helpful.
In theory every hitscan weapon in TF2 has infinite range, the shortstop still has spread, and at long range, you do only have 50% drop off per pellet, but good luck hitting anything
It's time for nerdism! You see, not every hitscan weapon has infinite range. They actually do have a range, and it varies between weapons. And as I've commented on the video:
I took a look at the .ctx files for TF2, and turns out the SMG has more than twice the range of a revolver. And in case you're curious on what the weapons are for every hitscan weapon... Range of 4096 - Pistols, Revolvers Range of 8192 - Miniguns,* Scatterguns, Shotguns, SMGs, Sniper Rifles, Shortstop (labeled as tf_weapon_handgun_scout_primar*y) So there you go. :D
Just had to get that out of the way.
