Valve probably used the track composed by Hans Zimmer as a placeholder in an earlier version, or just as storyboard concept element, so that explains why it would end up in the SFM folder. It's obvious now that Meet the Spy's theme was heavily influenced by this. Can't blame Valve, really. Hans Zimmer is a genius.

why not a swordvan :v:
That was the joke :v:
Speaking of glorious sounds, is it just me or is the Diamondback the sexiest sounding weapon in TF2? I mean, it's got this sort of bark to it when you fire. Pity it's overshadowed badly.
What if the reason why its the "Whats in the portal 2 soundtrack box?" is because valve doesn't know whats inside.

I'd love to get a lot of use out of it, but my timing always seems to be off. Also the sounds it makes are so satisfying.

Speaking of Diamondback (and other weapons that can store crits), I wish the middle mouse button could toggle the stored crits from on/off.
Speaking of Diamondback (and other weapons that can store crits), I wish the middle mouse button could toggle the stored crits from on/off.
Suddenly it's a sidegrade. Valve should do this.
Speaking of Diamondback (and other weapons that can store crits), I wish the middle mouse button could toggle the stored crits from on/off.
"Oh hey, he's got a Diamondback out and he hasn't got any crits yet! I guess I'll just start shootin' at hi-" *Spy immediately toggles crits on and kills you in a shot or two* Hell no. You might as well remove the crit glow from them and make ned cry.
To play a small bit of Devil's Avocado, those just cover the basics though. It isn't a complete list of what's bannable (and for how long) and what's not. The only really complete list is consistently watching the event log.
Then it's not a failure on the part of the user, it's a failure on the part of the site for not putting all of the rules in one place. People expect a rules page to contain all the rules they need to know--if it doesn't, then the rules page has failed to serve its purpose.

It'd be a cool ability that might make Diamondback more worthwhile, for the exact scenario you posted. Suits Spy greatly. I'd only want it on Diamondback, though. Not Frontier Justice or anything.

There probably should be a penalty for toggling like -1 Crit or 1/2 Crits. The Diamondback is the least equipped Spy Primary (excluding Festives and Big Kill) so it obviously needs a tiny buff of some kind.

Preferably 1/2 crits, and if you have 1/2 crits left, it'd be a mini-crit, instead. I also do agree that it needs some sort of universal small buff on it.
Wow. tfm_medic.wav is truly badass. Speaking of name, maybe they planned MtM teaser?
I also do agree that it needs some sort of universal small buff on it.
The Revolver and Ambassador get around 33% usage each, with the Enforcer @ 17%, L'tranger @ 9%, and the Diamondback at a paltry 6%. In an ideal world, The least used unlocks should be buffed a bit to boost their percentages.
proof that it's a gaming heads figure, by the by. this is not the neca figure.
I like that it comes with hats and unlocks, then we look at NECA's and there is no hats and only default weapons. Well I hope NECA does a crate thing and have hats and unlocks in those.

How about a 1-2 second delay/animation of a lighting bolt striking/cackling to indicate they're getting turned on. A little visually noisy to draw attention, a single striking noise to draw your ear, so if you wanna use your crits, everyone around you is gonna know. Hell, even have them turn off automatically after x seconds, so you're forced to make that noise if you go too long without using them.

A gun that requires you to draw a massive amount of attention to yourself to use is not a gun that will be popular among Spies.

Where I'm from, 24/7 2fort, we'd JUMP at the opportunity to give up stealth in favor of critical hits! Anyway, my proposal is far too different from the Diamondback for it to even be considered a balance change to it.

Having it be perfectly accurate, however, is debatable. #2: Faster reload speed. 20% or 25% faster reload speed [sup](0.928s or 0.87s reload time)[/sup] would most likely do the job. #3: A larger clip size. Even just one more bullet would be good enough. #4: Faster decloak time. 30% faster decloaking [sup](1.26s decloaking time)[/sup] seems reasonable. #5: Faster disguise speed. The most unlikely buff to be chosen, but if it was, it should let you disguise twice as fast [sup](1s disguise time)[/sup]. Again, one of the buffs will do.

It would give the Spy longer rapeninja tactics, and it's a greater incentive to sap those buildings #5: Faster disguise speed.
