I'm not doubting you but what is wrong with it exactly? Is it the weird black bars in the deathcam?
Perhaps they found a fix? I'll show you what I get when I go for values lower than 1.
If you're refering to Scribblenauts, it's because the game is not yet released in Europe. You can still pre-purchase it there and get the hat.
Quantum conundrum promos also took a long time to be tradable iirc
Dishonored promos took a whole month after the game released to be tradable and craftable.
I might be forgetting something but idunno
The thing IS
You see ,An Argentinian friend bought me scribblenauts in december , I'm french ,And I played with it IN FRENCH ,so wtf is wrong with warner bros, also , since they done an european page for scribblenauts , I can't play the game in french (wtf ?) (I could only play it in english)
It is very logically sound to say. Yes, they put out new content often. Most of the time, though, the new content is not up to snuff and lazy shortcuts are taken and oversights are made. Were this any other big-name company doing the same things, they'd get constant shit for it.
If an item in Call of Duty or Battlefield had a weapon that went through the hand of the player in a majorly noticable way, it would probably be openly mocked on Kotaku or IGN. In TF2, though, because it's valve, we get shit like this:

But no complaining about it! It was FREE.
See this?

[t]http://puu.sh/21kNa[/t]
Is it unreasonable for these visual issues to be fixed? It was free! Shut up you entitled baby!
Basically what I'm getting at is that Valve is not immune to criticism just because they put out content often. Sure, they aren't obligated to give us anything, but that does not give them permission to give us half-finished crap and then never finish it, especially considering the amount of money the make from this game.
Atleast they give us free updates and no 15€ for 2 fuckig maps and a gold upgrade
I'd probably pay for certain TF2 updates if they were done fucking brilliantly with no animation/model/crash/any sort of bugs at all
could we say tonight is da night (for blog post)?

And i will now leave this place forever.

If it's a major update, probably.
I'm still surprised that there would be one. We haven't had a major update this early in the year since 09.

This? again?
they are rude to their contributors to the point that it took Neo's item fixed were actively ignored for two years and he had to contact a new employee on his first day on the job in order for them to be implemented
I don't think it was his first day on the job and he was quite apologetic for the ignoring over the years, to quote:

I am integrating your changes. I’ll get it shipped with the next update.
If I may take a moment, I’d like to thank you for your patience and involvement w/ TF2. Also, if you don’t mind me speaking for other members of the team – depending on who you email and when you’ve emailed them – we can be swamped with a great many tasks (and emails). More than you might even believe. It’s a great responsibility to communicate and interact with customers – that’s why many Game/Media teams in the industry don’t do it. It can be tough, but it can also be rewarding.
Please don’t take it personally if you don’t get a prompt response or exactly what you want from interactions with some of us. It being the New Year – I have some scraps of free time, and I’m glad to share it with you.
That’s all I got! I hope that you’re still enjoying Team Fortress.
Cheers,
&Rew.
Just sayin' that they will never do a Valentine update(and they never done one).
Why ?
Because Stayin' alive stayin' aliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiveee
It's entirely possible that the playtesters missed it--things like that happen. It's almost like they're people too, and make mistakes just like us!
In which case they should be fired. This is their job, they are payed to do this and if they honestly missed a spot that most players will choose by instinct then they aren't doing their jobs well enough.

Quality > Quantity. For example, 2012's Halloween event was so much better than 2011's that it's not even funny.
Besides, why do they list stuff like the Japan Charity Bundle and Dr. Grordbort's Victory Pack as "major" updates? One was three limited hats, the other was two weapons and two cosmetics. At least every major update in 2012 was MAJOR.
I wouldn't consider the Japan Bundle a major update, but I'd consider anything related to new weapons "major".
I'll just call the Grordbort update a mini-major update.

I personally hated Meet the pyro, and disregarding the holiday updates, there were only 3 major updates, INCLUDING that shitty game promo. Dota 2 seems to be the biggest priority at Valve right now, I wont be surprised with another 2012 this year
I personally hated Meet the pyro
That's nice but it has absolutely nothing to do with what we're talking about. Well over half the weapons in Uber Update are complete horseshit but it's still a major update.
Scribblenauts Unlimited releases for most of the rest of the world today.

Some cool Workshop hats, new movie, new mode, nice content-pack with gorgeous map and gigantic update with something brand new? I'd be totally okay with such 2013.
I personally believe 2013 will be a good year for tf2.

I just really want some quality control. It hurts to see a game once so polished in the condition TF2 is in now. Fix up a couple animations, some community/small fixes, and re-balance the useless weapons to be viable.
Why not make the "beta" a gametype? One that has to be deliberately chosen like the quick play beta so people don't get accidentally put in a game with odd changes and make a small change or two every week or hell, every month and include a feedback submission box. After testing have a community vote and an internal decision whether to implement the change if not keep testing. But most importantly incentivize the damned thing so people will actually play it with a double drop rate or the chance to earn "beta" weapons (just a unique quality) this way people aren't getting more items just getting them faster. I think such a thing will work because people will want to do it and won't have to download a separate client for it which was one of the biggest problems of the original beta (no one played it). Assuming this can be done consistently and with communication ("This is what we are testing this week/month") Valve can adjust balance without horribly breaking the actual game and if a change is broken and exploited it should be pretty obvious based on how people react to the change (i.e. exploiting the fuck out of something). Get the community involved. It has worked for every other part of the game it would work for balance if properly incentivized and executed.

I want this to become an in-game voiceline, dammit!

15th Feb for the UK, is it today for the rest of Europe then?
15th Feb for the UK, is it today for the rest of Europe then?
15th Feb in Russia either
Same day here.
Andrew is absolutely not a new employee, he's been handling the workshop stuff since the workshop started. He implemented the cosmetic portions of Community Schema for example.

the 2011 list is very padded. For example 2012 didn't include the Triad or Total War promos, yet the Shogun update is listed in 2011. It's something that's been brought up on the wiki previously, but it's kind of not had anything happen.

Except 2011 was filled with bundles that included 4 weapons at most each, and not that many cosmetics, while Pyromania is comparable to the Uber Update, the Triad Pack introduced the first sapper replacement and one of the funnest weapons to use, the Flying Guillotine, MvM, well, was MvM, Halloween was amazing and the Mecha Update introduced some of the most balanced weapons we've had in a while, for the three classes that needed it.
Again, quality over quantity.
Was the Meet the Sniper theme in the SFM Beta Sound file Testinglol posted? Link's still down for me.
All this talk of clipping and stuff made me have a thought. What if after humanity's extinct, a race of hyper intelligent aliens only found TF2 as the last remnants of our culture and took everything at face value?
"As you can see, the Class race was able to take any random object and adapt it for self defense, though sometimes their limited bone structure wouldn't allow them to firmly grasp the object in question so they would utilize their psychokinesis to levitate the object in or through their hands. This was perfectly natural to the Classes and caused them no physical pain what so ever."
