Just to tell the other side of the Benjamoose story. He's always been really awesome to myself and KritzKast, put in a lot of his own time to help us out for no personal benefit. So he's protective of his intellectual property? That's his call and fair play to him. So he's proud of his work? Means a lot to me whenever I get something into TF2. Not exactly actions I could condemn someone for?

Well, as i did not know before that there was a second contributor to the dalokohs bar, should i ask him as well? Also here's how the fishcake style/main texture looks like now, what do you think? [IMG]http://puu.sh/1S20f[/IMG]

just keep it as fishcake, I doubt the other guy will have a different view on it as they're probably close

Not exactly actions I could condemn someone for?[/QUOTE] Yeah, I'm not really trying to condemn him, he does cool stuff, but I really think he should be more open to letting others do cool stuff with his cool stuff. Nobody else has had this problem with community projects that I am aware of. Plus I feel like claiming that logo as IP is a bit of a stretch but I'm not too knowledgeable on that sort of thing.

With an item that's been in the game so long, and is so iconic with heavy... It's not such a black and white subject. I can understand why they might not be so open. We will still release it in the mod, the permission thing is just for the workshop.

Valve does also, though, so technically they could accept anything made of it, but they won't because they tend to side with the original contributor. Other than the hot chocolate thing. That was totally fine, he didn't need permission for that.

I've created 7 made up companies/groups among the items I've uploaded and I can't see myself ever treating them the way Benja treats them. Plus, I'd want them reused for consistency's sake.

Maybe try to think of something else for the logo even it's supposed to be a fish cake replacement. Dalokohm was working because it's not directly related to chocolate. I've just tried to come up with some names but the only one I like so far is "The Jump Start". (Others: electron cake, proton cake, energy cake, electric cake)
