To launch off, here's a picture of my completed Robo-Hermes. I've yet to come up with a 'robot name' for it, if anyone has any suggestions?
E-Mail. [sp]I'm so, so sorry.[/sp]
Question. Does it have to be a robot version of an item already in game or can it be something new?
I'm all for this. Sadly, I have no experience in the ways of texturing or modeling, but I shall still try my hardest to contribute.
E-Mail. [sp]I'm so, so sorry.[/sp]
Hell, that ain't half bad. Here's a worse one. The HerMIPS.
Very interesting, but could someone explain the boogaloo meme to me?
Basically, a group of words people throw at the end of something to signify a sequel. Originates from Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo. According to our beloved Encyclopedia Dramatica:
Electric Boogaloo is a term used on the internets to describe an egregious sequel that never should have been made. It all started in 1984 with the movie Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo, a shitty and completely unnecessary continuation of a movie that wasn't even any good to begin with.
Bear in mind the above definition is from ED, so I wouldn't take it as a serious source.
Question. Does it have to be a robot version of an item already in game or can it be something new?
Existing. The whole story of the comic is bootleg mannco products.
Hey! I have a robot hat idea! I don't have a tablet or anything but, I'll give you an idea. THE MECHA'S YELLOW BOLT It's the masters yellow belt, but technically it's not a belt. It's a yellow ring of paint that goes around his head and on the back of his head are two wires that look like a knot. Just a concept.
Gonna try a shot at going with the Ten Gallon.
Gonna try a shot at going with the Ten Gallon.
Texas-tech gallon.
Tried a robo Napper's Respite
Merczy is doing Archimedes
doesn't neo need to release her finished bots for this?
Texas-tech gallon.
Texas-Tin Gallon.
doesn't neo need to release his finished bots for this?
I guess she does I'll carry on working on them now, they should be done in HOPEFULLY about 5 days
I know someone already did a robotised version of the Hazmat.. but i felt it was too similar to the original...
If anyone has a spare moment, could that person draw some neat concept of the Stainless Pot? I tried to roboticise it but it doesn't have a robot feel to it.
Here's Point and Shoot, but I don't really like how it turned out. :v:
Here's Point and Shoot, but I don't really like how it turned out. :v:
Some large bolts, dents, cuts and scratches would improve it.
Infernal Orchestrina.
On Equip: Enables Robot Vision?
On Equip: Enables Robot Vision?
Oh that'd be sweet The scenery would be metallic and dull Health packs would be oil cans and repair kits Ammo packs would be batteries "MMMPH" signs would be "BEEP BOOP" And the voice lines would be all the robot ones [editline]31st December 2012[/editline] I just wish we had someone to replace the zombie souls with robot engines to make the classes cyborgs :(

So how's the comic coming?
[editline]31st December 2012[/editline]
facade concept is far from unclaimed
The texture on that thing (especially round the eyes) could do with some improving. [t]http://i.imgur.com/htXBS.jpg[/t]
the last few concepts posted don't seem very fun just making stuff metal works but it's not as creative as some other ones I've seen
So how's the comic coming?
Too busy storyboarding.
Prepare to be assaulted by a wall of text with absolutely no imagery. Anywho, may I cut in and contribute possible lettering on the Battery Dalakohs Bar wrapper? Tsalv Bar (Russian word for power spelled backwards) Ayigrene Bar (Energy spelled backwards) Dayraz Bar (Charge spelled backwards) So, on the wrapper, it would proclaim something along the lines of: "TSALV / AYIGRENE / DAYRAZ" "It's Programmed To Be Delicious! / It's Fully Charged! / It'll Keep You Going!" But, of course, due to it being torn, only half the message will appear. Also: Bolt! Atomic Lubricant! It's a gray, somewhat rusty, somewhat dented tin of oil. In place of it's flavors (Cherry Fission, Blutonium Berry) you have something like 'Crude Cranberry', or 'Grease-Monkey Grape'. Because all oil has flavors. Also on the tin are the sayings 'Now 20% More Refined!' or 'With Pulp!', or some goofy shit like that. Now, for the Can Opener, that one Heavy Halloween hat, I was thinking the top of the Heavy's head peels up, like an anchovy tin, or something, and a motherboard is exposed, or some other internal hardware. For the one Heavy Halloween misc (I think it's called the Soviet Stitch-Up, yes?) the arms look like they've been soldered/welded back on after falling off. Weld marks will exist in place of the stitches on human Heavy's arms. If this is to be put on human Heavy as well, make the area, elbows down, robot arms. If that's within anyone's modeling capabilities. For the Bootlegger, I was wondering if that, in place of the peg leg, you had something like a repulsorlift. Like, you have this set of blue rings below the stump of the leg that push it upward and- Actually, fuck it, that's way too hard to put to words. Or, you could have a holographic robot-foot in place of the peg leg. The other leg has a bulkier metal boot. Think the Robo-Demo's current foot, but a tad bit unnecessarily larger. For the Bonedolier, in place of skulls, have random bits of machinery, or robot heavy heads. Spooky Joe would be a hologram of sorts. Same applies to Dead Little Buddy. El Jefe would be a metallic, green beret-shaped metal thing with some copper wiring hanging from it. And the Robro- Actually. What the hell would the Robro even be? The Mann Co / Human Robro is a small robotic thing that floats about your shoulder and is programmed to follow you about. If we translated that to Grey Co / Robot, we'd have a small human that floats about your shoulder and is forced to follow you about. And that seems a bit... Well... Impossible to do. So, how can we sensibly translate the Robro?
you can translate the Robro by ignoring it
you can translate the Robro by ignoring it
Well, the normal Robro can't cloak, so the reverse of it may as well not exist :v:
Merczy is doing Archimedes
Scandalous.
Anyone got ideas on how a robo kilt would work?
Anyone got ideas on how a robo kilt would work?
Think the normal kilt, but segmented, gray where necessary, painted also where necessary, paint chipping, nicks and scratches scattered about, a dent or two here or there, throw in a bit of phong, add some bare, terribly sexy robot thighs, and there you have it.
you can translate the Robro by ignoring it
I should begin reading first pages. Apparently things that already posses a robotic theme shouldn't be worried about.
Here's Point and Shoot, but I don't really like how it turned out. :v:
Take the bottommost segment of the pointy-part of the hat, extend that upward so it accounts for two segments instead of one. Create a wider space (not too wide) between the topmost segment and the bottommost segment so a thin plate of metal (think ratcheting wrench) is revealed inside the segments holding the two loosely together. To emphasize the 'it's a machine' look, make the buckle look similar in appearance to a coin slot on arcade game machines. As for the brim of the hat, I can't really provide any criticism there. Nice job on robotizing it, though! Wow, folks're really working on this! Think we'll actually get all the robotable hats robotized by the 10[SUP]th[/SUP]?
