I refreshed the Robotic Boogaloo page (don't ask me why I had it open), and out of the blue I start hearing robot footsteps, I go back to the page, and everything changed :tinfoil:

From me and my bodygrouped bots, they include lots of other fixes like unique uber textures and a lot of erased AO shadows that looked weird in most poses, gibs for Medic and Spy bot etc etc

Will it work with the Red Sentry buster included in the Grey robot pack?

I'm sure all the effort will be worth it, the update is already under Valve scope, and they'll basically have to add these if they want to add any of the other hats.

Dunno what you mean by that but it won't be compatible with the grey robot pack due to including modified textures. There will probably eventually be a grey option of this mod available as part of the TF2TIP project.

They won't ever get officially added, I'd need Valve's official PSDs and model sources for them to even consider it. Decompiled stuff is just too messy.

I feel like I have to ask this, will they be available as a mod, either client or server-side?
Well of course, a bunch of the robot hats wouldn't be usable at all without them

bodygroup is only the tip of the iceberg
bots have no swimming, ducking, non-shitty weapon taunting (uses the same one for everything) special taunting (laugh, director, meet the med) and the current animations they have are not good with some weapons (i.e heavy with a sandwich, demoman with stickylauncher), they also do not gib properly at all (outside of giants), sentrybuster has no uber skin, let alone red
what valve did with the engineerbot was lazy but acceptable : slap the human anims on it. Better than T-poses.
The teaser video turned out great.
I'm working on one more hat though it still feels a bit too organic, don't you think?

Right one seems like the most fitting one to me. Just pretend the "organic part" is just a dent.

Yeah mine will include the human anims under the robot ones, should fix the majority of those bugs. Though Medic will look weird with that wheel and the taunts will all still be the robot versions.
It's kinda obvious why Sentry Buster doesn't have a red or uber skin, he isn't capable of being ubered, it's not Valves fault if you choose to use the bots in ways that were never intended. The default Spy bot can't be ubered either (and he has no LODs), his default uber textures are fantastic:

However yes I will make it so the buster can be red and ubered because it's easy to do and I'm hoping people that use the !robotme command can get some use out of this mod.

I wish Valve wouldn't be so lazy about Uber textures on normal and robot models.
Someone should have made a Robo-Gibus. It would have been awesome-sauce.

and then saxton hale upgrades them by giving them the gift of hats(a paid gift, of course)

I'm not literally going to post a status report of everything I do, it would be mind-numbingly mundane!
Most recently I restored LODs on the Pyro, Scout and Demoman, though. And erased some more shadows on Scout's and Demoman's legs.
