Sometimes I feel like you guys hate on oj just cause it's fun to hate him
I remember when it was cool to hate Rain, but that period of time is behind us now

Has anyone made or the Magistrate's Mullet, or contacted the original author about it?
i would really like to put two cents on the stuff oj did: if your goal was to educate and promote the whole thing, may have been useful to write something like "here are some of the concepts and hats done for the EB so far"
because right now it looks like you basically "leaked" the whole thing and wanted to look cool for doing so. even if the stuff is public, it just shows how hard you're really trying to be "part" of the whole thing "by doing stuff", rather than help developing, providing feedback, concepts, ideas, or whatever. hell, even i did a concept and helped someone but i'm not going around claiming i'm part of the whole thing.
its not like this project is secret since it got even featured (not long ago) on a podcast, and i hardly doubt any damage was done to the project itself or anything. in fact, i'm suprised that most of these images(even the wips and concepts) arent already floating around on tumblr or worse, reddit. if anything, we all have seen an influz of new users just ~demanding~ a relase date, or asking when the stuff is going to get done.
tl;dr: oj(or anyone else), if you want to support this thing but somehow "lack" the means to do so, you can always provide feedback, ideas or concepts. after all, the idea of a comunity update is(as far as i can tell) a group effort to provide new content by the comunity for the comunity.

No one hated rain we just had... aggressive discussions. I'd actually been a fan of his work a while before he came to FP and was glad when he came here.

No, that was mostly because Rain didn't take criticism correctly when he first came to the Emporium and was making that Bioshock Infinite stuff.
Shortly after starting the porcelain Heavy hands however, he started to take the criticism to heart and fix stuff on the hands like the skin tone. He got better, and now he's a pretty cool Emporium guy, but he doesn't seem to show that much stuff anymore.
With Oj though, he's just in these threads to look at stuff, which is not a bad thing. He doesn't show any interest in learning to model or texture, otherwise he could have taught himself to by now like most people in the Emporium.
Most of the time though, I think people agree that he shit-posts with things. He tries to seem involved in a project he had no real bearing on either, like when he made his Robo Boogaloo list that quickly became outdated and had to be taken over by someone else.
Mostly, his posts contribute nothing to mod-making or community involvement. Sometimes it's okay for these posts to be made, and it can be overlooked once or twice, but not when you do it over and over.

tumblr doesn't really have a sense of community and isn't really close knit at all so it has lots of different types of people who utilize it

Just out of curiosity, since some employees at Valve know about this update, what would the chances of any of these actually making it into TF2? Or, say, a decent amount of items?
Since it seems that out of the Medieval Update, only 3 things made it in, while with the Fancy vs Nasty update, an overwhelming majority made it in.
Can we like, remove Ojcoolj or something?

The thing is it doesn't really need a remodel but maybe I'll just put that effect on it tonight? It depends on how the UV is, haven't looked at it yet.
