He didn't know how to wear his helmet properly, he was shooting rockets at his feet to jump, his voice lines were already depicting him pretty well, and his taunts were pretty crazy too.

Actually, TF2 lore says that it's a pretty normal way to get around.

For soldiers yes, but soldiers aren't pretty normal
For soldiers yes, but soldiers aren't pretty normal
Everyone got around that way before Lincoln invented stairs.
So yeah, I suppose Soldier's the only one doing it nowadays.

There are some servers running plugins that revert the updates and remove hats/unlock.

We need a stair launcher for the soldier.
Holy shit, what server is that in the OP's video with the buses. I want to try that out.

What do you want from me?
TF2. TF2 never changes.
The Halo-owners waged war to gather support and e-peens. Compfags built an empire from their lust for balance and superiority. GabeN shaped a battered game into a virtual superpower.
But TF2 never changes.
In the 21st century, war was still waged over the smugness that could be acquired. Only this time, the spoils of war were also its weapons: Vintage and Unusual hats. For these resources, Compfags would mod servers, the pubbies would cry out, and the normal players would dissolve into quarreling, bickering trading groups, bent on selling their shitty items for hats and tags.
In 2010, the storm of idling had come again. In weeks, most of the servers were reduced to trading. And from the ashes of economic renovation, a microtransactions would struggle to arise.
A few were able to reach the relative safety of the large private Servers. Some clans were part of that group that entered CP_dustbowl_night. Imprisoned safely behind the long Server password, under a mountain of ignorance, a generation has lived without knowledge of the outside world.
But TF2. TF2 never changes.

Facepunch, apparently, looks down upon text smilies of that fashion.
You'll probably get shit for it, unfortunately.
In 2007 A.D., war was beginning

Sorry then, I don't visit FP often. What should I do (except of improving my English)?

Um, I guess just refrain from using text smilies too often. That should be good.

Where is the list of graphical ones?

Is there a list for the common used ones? Half of the smilies on that list are seasonal or contain private humor / obscure in-jokes
Best way to change it is to make Unusual hats visible from first person

I found that list via Google, but I didn't see any other like it.

You should be able to mouse over one and see its code in the URL preview box. Like if you moused over :v:, :colbert: and :frog: you would see v, colbert and frog.
Anybody else had problem with loading some custom maps?
