Honestly, I have never cared about the inevitable flame wars or ensuing personal attacks, because I wouldn't post my pictures on the internet if I had an issue with it. I figure I should at least post something to clear up some misconceptions regardless. I don't post my pictures with the intention to be 'artsy' with the exception of my cosplay itself, and I especially don't consider my tits art. They're there because I'm comfortable with it, and I'm comfortable with my body partly because of 'sexy' or NSFW shots. I was extremely shy and self-critical of myself for years so no, I'm not here for your satisfaction, I'm here for my own. I'm not going to repeat the slut shaming rant. The only comment on facepunch I've ever had a problem with was one that claimed that I was a model looking for a target audience, and a businesswoman not focused on costume quality. That couldn't be farther from the truth. In this case I'm almost convinced the opinion on the quality of my costume reflect the changes I made for it to be feminine, or that it reveals my midriff. Neither of those things reflect actual costume quality and are suggesting that only good TF2 cosplayers should be male, dress as a male or conservatively. Not only is that sexist, but what if it's genderbending a girl character as a male? Is that still "for looks"? Because if not, that's a more evident insecurity towards oneself. Lastly, I'm not any kind of professional model, the majority of my cosplay pictures are from me helping out a close friend build his photography skills and portfolio. Yes I do work at conventions but not because I'm hired, I volunteer. I volunteer to run booths because I love TF2 and nerd culture just as much as you do. I refuse to be paid for being myself.
