unless you're edging a sentry, you're not going to inflict much damage if you aren't even seeing what you shoot at.
Shooting somewhere other than where you're looking has been in the game since at least the beginning of the year - I don't see the rift making it more of a problem.

I believe they test out an option that allows you to do this, but the guy immediately requests they switch back because it was so confusing to his brain. If that's all your eyes can see, not getting the immediate visual response of turning when your head physically turns is really jarring.

Correct. Unless you spend months adjusting to it, it can make you physically ill in seconds.
Looking at a screen is different than looking through a viewfinder. In the former case, at least you have something stationary in your peripheral to tell you you're not actually moving.

edit: Also, that Oculus Rift 40 min video was pretty neat. However, I don't think it will really be an advantage and remain a disadvantage until someone masters i's foibles. One thing that is really interesting to me is combining it with the Hyrda for a more immersive experience. TF2's last patch made it so the Oculus works with the Hydra without wrapping problems. I've got the Razer....now I just need to finish creating my DIY Oculus Rift...

Well, there's the 2 bundles of fancy hats and nasty weapons we got back in 11. Those are all Royzo-made items.

They DO?? where?? I remember my pirate set for tidehunter being in a 'international talk like a pirate day' bundle. Honestly, I love talk like a pirate day, we used to always dress up for it and go out drinking. Having that bundle felt like such an achievement.
What if they give it only to the people who manage Reddit (operators/managers/admin) who never play just like the DOTA 2 hats.

Guys is the Red Orchestra Steam upgrade SUPPOSED to give you the Genuine versions of the Stahelm and Plotka? Cuz it gave me them.
Also, not sure if I should get Don't Starve. The hat is tempting and the game looks good...but I dunno...

The store page says you only get them in genuine if you pre-purchase it. But I haven't heard of anyone getting them in unique versions from buying the digital deluxe edition. And for some reason I got the hats when I bought the regular version of the game.
