I've cleared final control points by myself just by chaining KGB hits with Family Business use back and forth, keeping constant crits flowing. Don't knock it till you try it.
That's the spirit. But I'll be honest, I've never gotten to try that out, before, and I would love to...
I just want a new minigun that's actually viable and not boring like the Heater.
I love the Heater. It's pretty much exactly what I wanted as a shotgun user, since its fast ammo consumption is complemented by a secondary that's actually a weapon. Like the SMG to the Huntsman. Plus it's saved me from plenty of careless Scouts before. They have to either get in the fire ring to be at range for a double-tap, or stay outside it and risk a longer fight.
Having +33 hypothetical health against bullets and explosive and getting less health from Medics and Dispensers sure does make the Heavy tanky. :v:
specially with the fists of steel.
Don't get me wrong, I love the Heater too, but it's exactly like the minigun save for meager benefits and downsides. Also, the Brass Beast would still probably be your best bet if you're running Shotgun.
specially with the fists of steel.
I was being sarcastic. The Fists of Steel actually does make you tanky with it out; your health effectively goes from 300 to 500 against ranged attacks. Of course, there's the downside that you take twice as much damage from melee, so it's 300 to 150 health against melee.
Wickedplayer is banned from facepunch for 3 days I feel disoriented
I know it's been said a million times, but they need to just add Spy's fireproof suit already. Revolver replacement, leaving just melee and sapper. + 50% resistance to fire + User will never ignite while disguised or cloaked So, more resistant to fire, plus the fact that a Pyro spraying fire everywhere won't effect you visually. You'd still take damage from it, but you'd never light up or make pain noises/gestures. The obvious downside being you're stuck with only your knife for offense. Something designed for deep undercover Spies who hate being randomly exposed by a stray fire particle.
I think the Spy-cicle is good enough for this purpose.
That's an active effect, not a passive one. Besides, the Suit's been tested several times since the Spy-cicle came out. It hasn't been canned or converted into another weapon just yet.
Wickedplayer is banned from facepunch for 3 days I feel disoriented
I thought he would have an automatic detection of bans.
Wickedplayer is banned from facepunch for 3 days I feel disoriented
He kept posting articles about babies dying.
You know, as great and varied as the cast from Poker Night 2 is, I would have liked to see at least one TF2 Class in there. Either Engi, Soldier, Demo, Spy or Medic. Medic would have been a brilliant choice. Still bummed about no Homestar or Penny Arcade characters too.
Would've been better to get four different opponents every night, with around three possible from each game. Brock, Ash, Handsome Jack and Max one night, and the next you'd have Tycho, Sam, Claptrap and Engineer.
I remember when I was excited when I heard read this line about the dialogue length for Poker Night 1:
"There's more speech among these four characters than the entire cast of a typical Sam & Max episode," explains Rodkin.
source "What?! More than a typical Sam and Max episode?!" I was really expecting lots varied conversation. It was the biggest let down when they started repeating stuff 15 min in to playing Poker Night. I hope they improve upon that aspect.
By the way, back on the subject of update speculation, all the little birdies are chirping about an absolutely MASSIVE number of fixes and tweaks likely to come alongside SteamPipe. "100+ and climbing." Not sure what any of them are, but that'd be the most core changes in a single update since... Hatless Update? I'm taking this with a fair amount of salt, but I hope most are texture/animation related.

You guys know there's a disagree button right you don't have to rate Lord Exor dumb literally every comment. He has some strong opinions some I agree with some I don't but I think there's way too much hostility towards him. That said I really hope heavy follows suit and get's a second update. He could use some tweaking/new interesting, yet viable weapons In my opinion. As for the word about fixes in the steampipe update I wouldn't be surprised if this is a second breath for TF2 in terms of quality assurance. Only in that it will be "refreshed" and we can see some longstanding bugs squashed. I think Valve knows support for the game has been sub-par and will probably do something about it to at least try harder. Fucking Loch N Load. Seriously, can we get like a Kickstarter for a mass email campaign? We'll need people working round the clock. I estimate a $120,000 budget might get response assuming each person in hired can fire off 1,000 emails per day. [editline]4th April 2013[/editline]
we can all dream of
One, single change. Best update in history.
I haven't been following things recently, what's all this about steampipe? It is a new steam service or something? [editline]4th April 2013[/editline]
Speaking of passive items, I want one that'd make Shotgun Heavy more viable in regular use. ~ Replaces Minigun + 50% max secondary ammo carried + 10% bullet and explosive damage resistance on wearer - 50% healing rate from Medics and Dispensers Would make Heavy rather tanky, and kit him out to work better while roaming, in exchange for your usual best friends - Medics and dispensers - being a lot less effective.
I would definitely be able to get behind a passive primary for the heavy so I could be a shotgun heavy better.

[editline]5th April 2013[/editline]
we can all dream of
email valve this bug just trust me now is the time to strike with the Loch n Load
I haven't been following things recently, what's all this about steampipe? It is a new steam service or something?
SteamPipe is the new, more-up-to-date way for content distribution. Left 4 Dead 2 and Portal 2 run on it. Load times are cut down, no more gcfs, preformance improved; it also allows developers to push out updates themselves rather than having to send it to Valve and make everyone wait. Oh, and VPK support.

I'll be honest, I expect if they do fix the LnL and the LC they'll probably end up fucking the default GL up worse than the LnL ever was. Just seems like something they'd do by accident.

The only bug really introduced in the last few months is that particle effect thing in post death spectator and in the scope of things that affects a minority of players

I've always kind of liked the idea of a heavy shotgun primary. Something that would allow him to assert absolute dominance at close range yet further reduce ranged capability and having to reload. It just seems so satisfying the way I have it in my head: Rev-up, walk into enemy base *THUD*THUD*THUD*THUD*THUD*THUD*THUD*THUD*THUD*THUD*THUD*THUD*, dead little baby men. He's already the demon god king of DPS at close range but tightening the field of play could make for some unique variations on playstyle.

The Assault Cannon? That thing was a monster, I think if balanced right it could definitely make a return.

Certainly fits the moniker of Heavy Weapons Guy.

The Rift TF2 codes have started getting emailed out. edit: Btw, it's only getting emailed to the kickstarters for now.
