I've always wanted to get Jackhammer (Jackhampster) so it would be like a minigun shooting like shotgun. Then I've opened the game files and noticed, that Minigun IS a shotgun already. It's that deadly because it shoots 4 bullets per 1 ammo unit. Well, I'd prefer it to shoot 1 bullet per... erm, bullet, but have 800 ammo instead. So I am guessing we will never get Shogun-like minigun. Because we already have it.
I wonder what'll happen when the Rift is finalized as a consumer product. Valve will surely collab with them again to give buyers the in-game item as an incentive, but...
Are these Genuine? Will the ones given at that point not be Genuine? Will there be some other difference (texture, particle effect, other feature) that the new one won't get?

The new one won't look like this one, from what I understand.
To reiterate: DO NOT BUY THIS UNLESS YOU ARE A DEVELOPER JUST BECAUSE OF A HAT. The consumer targeted one that is more feature rich and is ready for release will no doubt be cheaper, plus you have the added benefit of not pulling a piece of hardware from a pool of hardware meant for debugging and development.
Some features expected in commercial version that aren't in developer version 1:
> Significantly higher-res inbuilt screen
> Better plug-and-play functionality and compatibility
> Six-axis accelerometers (possibly)
> Six-axis spatial sensors (possibly)
> Built-in high-quality microphone (possibly)
> Significantly cheaper (probably)
The devkits shipping now are bare-bones tech demos with an SDK. A utility to help developers make their games work with the tech, not a finished product in the slightest.
It's worth waiting, guys. Way worth waiting.
