Now we have already given away promo hats and none will be given again. In Genuine quality I mean.
I guess those 2,5k hats will be really expensive. Expensive game + rare (almost 4 times rarer than Max's head) + they both look like illegitimate children of Team Captain and Wiki Cap.

Hats that's available in unique quality as well isn't normally that expensive.
'cept they'll probably become craftable, and unlike wiki cap, are forced to 1 class only. I don't see it having a huge price, since Max isn't craftable.

If they start with enabling one item to be painted then it will go down a slippery slope until we see pink miniguns. Also I think it wouldnt crit glow if it was painted

The Lollichop works too. It was probably cut because the lighter colors like Mann's Mint, white, and 216 barely show up.

When Valve first introduced the paints, didn't they say they were working on making weapons paintable too? So then why would they introduce weapons that are set up for paint, but disabled? Are they EVER gonna make weapons properly paintable as promised?
They use paintability for team colors.
Painting weapons was never intended.

As someone who collects genuines, no genuine you get from a game will be more expensive than the Genuine El Jefe just because the time you had to preorder Tropico 4 was absurdly short notice.
And the most expensive non-game genuine is the Robo Sandvich.
It just sucks now that we have to wait months just for the CoH2 items to be tradable instead of being able to get them right away.
But they definatly will not be more than a few keys or less for the set, i guarentee you.

Did you play beta when they were testing it? Most people aren't that stupid, so everyone just painted it Cream Spirit. It was nearly unbearable to understand whose this laser was.
Valve still says the same reason for not making them paintable. "You may mess up weapons." I don't know how could I mess Neon Annihilator painted any color with anything else.
How do you get the reddit hats?

Since SEGA doesn't have the right to the old promo content, they have to change what comes with the CE and what you get for pre-purchase.
