Could it have been a mod?
I can't find anywhere to download it as a mod, and the creator has been MIA since the Polycount contest
ALMOST 2 YEARS
this is nutso
STS LEAK 4EVERRRRR
Still waiting on that scythe from the f2P trailer.
Still waiting on that scythe from the f2P trailer.
this flamethrower is from that set
Could it have been a mod?
Kinda silly to be modding a game when you're just getting familiar with the VR equipment and support.
Also, wasn't Griefblower never released as a mod download in the first place? Meaning that the only people who have access to the resources are the creator and Valve.
I'll be the first grumpy guy to say that I'm not quite fond of how that thing looks.
Very interesting nonetheless.
I wouldn't be surprised if Valve actually bought the whole set designs, that's why having his creator MIA isn't an issue. Or maybe that's the same reason why they don't release it yet, they need the motherfucker to make a contract :v:
Nice to hear that the grief blower is still considered.

There are a number of things that people feel are rather ugly-looking in the game.
The more-important aspect is the fact that they're testing out the weapon. The thing's been in development limbo for almost 2 years, to see it resurface after so long isn't expected.
You think the STS leak is dead and then it comes right back and pulls itself into relevancy again. After 2 years it's probably the single biggest leak TF2 has had.

I'm not too fond of the first person view, but that is from on VR right? All the fpvs look a little out of place on VR from what I've seen.

I dunno but the textures is too flakey for my taste and all the little bits and bobs seem out of place.
But hey I'm picking on something thats 2 years old :v:
And oh god I'm "that guy"

Knowing Valve they probably just never took it out of their internal test build of the game. Heh, it's been in there as a Degreaser skin for 2 years.
it's certainly an item designed from a different era of TF2, you can tell that from the model quite easily.
so update today?
confirmed y/n
it's certainly an item designed from a different era of TF2, you can tell that from the model quite easily.
which isnt a bad thing.
which isnt a bad thing.
It's almost nostalgic in a way. The item is very "Polycount era" style, and most of those weapons hold up just fine these days.
So uhm, what is this?

Look at the bottom right of the screenshot Joe is playing [Staging] Team Fortress 2
It reminds me of Final Combat.
I'm sorry.
Staging is where you put all your fixes from personal development branches, when you commit them to the main branch, and then test all the mergers.
At least at my company, staging is one hop away from production.

That's because it's not Gabe.
That's because it's not Gabe.
Its not? oh then shit.
OH FUCK ITS A TROLL!
OH GOD I FELL FOR IT
Its not? oh then shit.
i'm pretty sure gabe doesn't or will NEVER say the word faggot.
I hope this won't evolve into an ARG just to spot all these items in the videos and screenshot of the Occular Rift. First the giant moai on Demoman's back and now this. I'm just getting tired of ARGs, the Pyromania one was brilliant, and the MvM one was way too overcomplicated. Can't Valve just release a major content update that DOESN'T involve us having to work for it?
Hopefully its a red herring or something, gardening just doesn't fit the Pyro at all and would inspire a bunch of "lol randum pyro xD" submissions on the workshop. He has a flower hat and a rake. That does not mean he constructs flamethrowers out of leafblowers.
Then again, they DID tease them in the F2P Video. Oh well.
With the Vaccinator out, I think the Schwarben Charger is a long lost dream. Why advertise one Medigun and go around and release a different one? Dick move

Well he's made a flamethrower using car parts, and two more just using random parts that would be found at a petrol station.
Also it reminds me of General Skarr.

It fits him perfectly. Every flamethrower is constructed from random bits and pieces and a leafblower actually looks like a flamethrower. I'd even go as far as to say that it's BRILLIANT.
A leafblower looks like a Flamethrower
Ok, i guess we should have a Bonk! Drink that's a plastic cylinder because it looks like a can
[editline]2nd April 2013[/editline]
Also its very hypocritical to go around saying "Why do people give the Pyro stuff that doesn't fit him at all?! Like really, wtf he's a masked pyromaniac not a clown" and then turn around and say "But you know what, he's OBVIOUSLY a gardener. That totally fits"

There's a drastic difference between a common gardener and a handiman who has the ingenuity to turn common appliances into killing machines.
You have to understand when the Griefblower was made, Pyro had nothing but his Valve unlocks and the Homewrecker. During that time everyone was making "lol randummmm" items for Pyro after the beanie, chicken hat and brain slug, it was basically all we knew about him.
They must have been really impressed with the item to hang onto it for 3 years... but not impressed enough to actually implement it heh
