I wonder how that's going to work payment wise
If they're only available via preordering or anything like that, then the contributors paid a huge one-time payment by the developers. If they're ever available in the store, they are given shares of 25%.
Considering all the talk I saw of the dispenser being broken, I thought I'd have a go at fixing it. The top of it now works properly, and from what I've seen, everything connects to it properly, including the screen and sappers. Should I go and mash together a promo for it and release it over in the Emporium, and then link it here for you guys?

With all this hype about the Griefblower, back in November 2011 when I was at valve and doing all sorts of testing stuff like testing the deflecting capabilities of the minigun, and MVM itself, I was on a valve employees account and he had the Griefblower, It was airblast based and less fire damage, My memory is a bit hazy but that's what I remember. They also had the Headtrimmer which was like an Eyelander for Pyro, cut off heads and a bit of a longer range. Not as much as the Eyelander though. I kept it on the hush for a long time since I had a promise to not tell anything about what I had seen there. But now that the cat's out of the bag, well...

Pyro eyelander would have been fantastic. [editline]2nd April 2013[/editline] A Frylander, if you will.
Pyro eyelander would have been fantastic.
It might be in the next major update. I hope so, I really enjoyed using the weapon, Great in MVM.
But anyway, did you actually try it out majorly? I'd presume it'd have like less airblast cost, larger force (ie in mvm) etc.
Pyro eyelander would have been fantastic. [editline]2nd April 2013[/editline] A Frylander, if you will.
No. Even better. Pyrolander.
But anyway, did you actually try it out majorly? I'd presume it'd have like less airblast cost, larger force (ie in mvm) etc.
No. We were playing MVM the entire game-playing-portion.
No. We were playing MVM the entire game-playing-portion.
Yeah, I knew that. I was wondering if you'd tried it during MvM. EDIT: Oh yeah you said you were testing deflecting stuff. Boxes for me.
It might be in the next major update. I hope so, I really enjoyed using the weapon, Great in MVM.
As far as melees go, Pyro only has a few that are worth using. Axtinguisher, and to a lesser extent the Neon Annihilator, fit the role of offensive power. Backscratcher fits the role of health utility. Powerjack used to fit the health utility role, but now all it's good for is for activating the Gas Jockey Gear set bonus. Homewrecker and Neon Annihilator fit defensive support role. Sharpened Volcano Fragment and Third Degree are in the "what the fuck are you doing?" non-role. Some more utility weapons would be nice. I've said it before and I"ll say it again...Baleful Beacon~ :v:

Heavy has the "Not Bad" face in that NECA figurine.

A Pyro primary weapon themed around a vacuum cleaner with a secondary fire that pulls people/objects near while held would be neat. You could use it to suck in projectiles or fire off of teammates to regain some ammo each time. You trade off the ability to reflect and shove for the ability to totally neutralize projectiles, extinguish teammates at no cost, keep your ammo reserves high, and draw foes closer. Any sort of additional primary would be great, though I can imagine they're tough to balance.
I still want the Firkin flamer ingame, with the same stats from Advanced Weaponizer.
actually sounds like it would be kinda cool. you could block people from stepping on your point.
I've used it, it's incredibly useless. The lack of airblast leaves you very vulnerable and laying/igniting oil takes too long to be practical in combat. People avoid anywhere there's oil on the ground, and even if it's somewhere vital like a cap it only burns for a few seconds before it's gone and useless.

Lecture Valley sounds like a tutorial map to me
Lecture Valley sounds like a tutorial map to me
If that was the case, something tells me it'd be released alongside the SteamPipe.
So what have I missed in TF2 besides Valve buying out reddit? I've been gone since last month because Garry went on a banning rampage
Lecture Valley sounds like a tutorial map to me
This is probably just overthinking, but based on your assumption and the fact that the Lecture Valley page says they just opened five locations in the Badlands area, I'm guessing that we're getting the remaining 5 class tutorials. Maybe?
So lets recap: New flame thrower, third misc slot, dispenser hats, moa heads and nutmeg. So far this next major update looks dandy.
