Admit it, you'd miss out a sentence or so just to watch some sites go mad speculating.
Telling people to watch out for visibility problems seems like something you wouldn't really have to do. Either it isn't a problem, or it's really obvious when someone turns left for the first time and can't see anything except the random crap they decided to stack on their shoulder (eg, birds).
Viewport clipping is a bigger issue than you'd think when it comes to VR mode. Stuff phasing through your view could strain your eyes and cause headaches.
Well, that and the fact that they want to be doubly sure you can actually, y'know, [i]see.[/i] It'd be pretty embarrassing if a single item made the game partially or wholly unplayable in VR.
As mundane as all this sounds, it's part of developing games. Test the boring and obvious stuff so something really dumb doesn't appear later.

In all honesty, I just thought that Lecture Valley was Valve's take on Nature Valley, the granola bar company.

I don't think you know what the word literally means...
Regardless, I don't think it would be hard for them to mass distribute hats. They gave the Robot Chicken hat to whoever put their e-mail and Reddit accounts can be set-up with emails.

Pretty sure I do, Last time i checked saying a bad thing about reddit was grounds for immediate termination via crucifix.
Speaking of, a crucifix backpack would make a great Painkiller promo, provided they can actually make a Painkiller game that's worth buying anymore.

I hope it means we're actually getting 5 maps, since we badly need new maps after the lack of maps last year, but somehow I doubt we'll get that many. We could easily get that many if Valve included a couple of community maps, but I doubt we'll get more then 1 or 2 in any future major updates.

Why didn't this get more attention? This makes more sense than anything else put forth so far.
Also, I'd like to think that the statue head would be used as an actual item as opposed to a cosmetic. It's ridiculously huge and changes class readability a tremendous deal-- even more so than the intel briefcase.
Maybe they finally got wise and realized that they completely screwed up with the boot/footwear cosmetics/weapons slot (CURSE YOU, YOU HIDEOUS USELESS COWBOY BOOTS) and decided to make a Mantreads Demo equivalent?

This item idea is amazing. Maybe try adding a style where the straw is slightly see-through looking like many straws are if possible, and make sure it's set up for paint, as this is one item where any and all ridiculous bright colored paints would work great.
