because ~pro~ traders drive up prices like fucking crazy for profit.
People (trader scum) see people trying to squeeze a little extra dosh out of things and try to squeeze even more out of their things. Especially time-limited items; that's why certain promos and salvaged/festive stranges only get more expensive over time. Also things that are hard to find, like Robros used to be.
That said, if you shop around long enough you could find one at a decent price; I got a treasure hat for 12 keys a month or two ago.

Are my prices reasonable? I figure it should be worth a replacement hat and at least 3 refined, since TS paint apparently sells for 3.33-4 refined metal.
My friend has said that he'd like a 'Fedora painted After Eight. Since TS and AE seem to be roughly even in price, a 'Fedora and an After Eight paint (or an AE-painted FF) would be the most preferable offer.
The only offer I've received thus far is an uncraftable 'Fedora and a frying pan. That's like, two reclaimed metals' worth. Freaking lowballers.[/del]
