People just set a "b/o" to far over what the item is worth incase someone's desperate, then wait a week or longer for people to offer ever so slightly higher, and may not even end up selling the items at all.

So much this. As if the Steam Trading was unstable enough, so many people now don't actual intend to sell, they just want to waste everyone's time :/
