hatley requested this a while back, i had it finished just forgot to post it fuck gamebanana, had to reupload
yeah, does anyone know if there's a way to tone bloom down? because this is pretty ridiculous. [t]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/3430278/Modding/2013-01-20_00001.jpg[/t] is bloom at all associated with phong?
-meat-
Looks much better now. Maybe it's the lighting or just my screen calibration but the metal seems to have little too much blue in its color. Here's a paintover with a slight green photo filter - you can decide for yourself if that looks better:
Does anyone remember who was modelling my suit concept for the Scout? It had the slots for the back pack straps, but the guy never contacted me after I tried to friend him.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/e5j1rLM.jpg[/t] Should I scrap the dollar bills being used as lettuce?!
made everything 25% darker to avoid overbrightening. done? [editline]20th January 2013[/editline] oh, and most important question in history... should my meat jiggle?
Things, old things.
What are it's actual basecolors?
Imagine it, but red. Yes, horrible lack of descriptiveness but i'm too lazy to get an image.
Imagine it, but red. Yes, horrible lack of descriptiveness but i'm too lazy to get an image.
Prepare yourself for the inevitable wave of "Why is RED Scout stealing RED intel?" comments when it goes onto the workshop. Just like with the Stitched Saboteur.
Okay, so I was working on this a long while back but didn't finish it. I looked at my models and decided I didn't want them to look that way anymore. But now I don't have time to redo everything, so I'm passing my concept art on to you guys, if anyone wants to take any of this on. [T]http://i.imgur.com/eZxZJTf.jpg[/T] Info: It's a Byzantine Pyro set, because the Byzantines had the original flamethrower. Pyro Fousta: A skirt. The belt area should be a neutral color, then the actual skirt would be the same color as his jumpsuit and the hem would be the team colored yellow/orange. If made paintable, only either the hem or the belt area. Imperial Sash: Just a nice piece of cloth draped around the Pyro with a neat knot where the grenades used to be. I originally imagined it to be a brown or tan color, but I can imagine it being a darker version of the team color as well. Feel free to make it paintable. Vangarian Vambrace: An extension of the pyro's shirt sleeves over his gloves, with a neutral colored armguard strapped over top. The extra sleeve on top is optional, depending on the polycount. (The top sleeve would be a neutral color, with the hems being team colored yellow/orange with a fire pattern over them. Don't make it paintable Hat: It's a hat. Made of metal. The chinstrap would be brown, the chainmail is chainmail. Feel free to make it paintable. Byzantine Blade: It would be black, I think, with a wooden shaft. Callinicus Contraption: Dark greys and tans. The nozzle and tank are supposed to have team colored designs on them. Otherwise, I'll leave the textures up to you. As for why there are three miscs, I thought why the hell not. Don't patronize me.
Reposting because no one's claimed anything yet.
Prepare yourself for the inevitable wave of "Why is RED Scout stealing RED intel?" comments when it goes onto the workshop. Just like with the Stitched Saboteur.
it's not supposed to be intel tho
it's not supposed to be intel tho
It still has a resemblance to it, though.
so is the bomber's bandoleer going to be released as a mod any time soon?
Things, old things.
Please, please please don't make the shoes chuck taylors. Chucks are terrible to actually run in, trust me. It might be a bit incompatible with the theme, but maybe some more modern day running shoes like nike freeruns, styled to fit in more? Something like the below image. [t]http://www.tiffanyfreerun.com/images/nike_free_run_men_black_red.jpg[/t] [editline]20th January 2013[/editline]
make what grayer? also, running around a map, it gets really god damn bright in direct sun.
The can. And metal is reflective after all, so it would make sense that some glare would hit your eyes from it. Also, I'm still for making the meat marbled pink.
made everything 25% darker to avoid overbrightening. done? [editline]20th January 2013[/editline] oh, and most important question in history... should my meat jiggle?
It looks great! My only complain is the russian characters. I know it's fitting, but nothing in TF2 uses foreign characters, not even the Dalokohs bar. I know the Triad Pack had chinese symbols, but that's largely because of the game they are promoting and, for whatever reason, they seem more fitting to me than Russian characters. Also, if you upload it to the workshop, be ready to get dozens of Fishcake comments.
it's marbeled orange, close enough and grosser [editline]20th January 2013[/editline]
It looks great! My only complain is the russian characters. I don't think anything with text outside of triad is supposed to be foreign actually
i though i'd make way more sense to push the food from the bottom of the can rather than crush the whole thing. specially if its meant to keep the shape.
yeah, me and deodorant imagined it with a slimy quality that would just slowly slide out but people wanted it crushed and it looks pretty good that way regardless

Oh hey, I made another one! Preview:
Another day, another sound mod crapped out.
All this really does is gives those people who want to use custom animations (Probably made by Kiyoshi)/animation fixes a bit more freedom with what they use. After they've been edited to use the the same method as this of course. Animations can be decompiled as well. Edit: After testing this fuck knows how many times I still managed to break the Scout's energy drink animations. I'll fix it in a bit. Now it's fixed.
where does the sound for the sticky jumper's flying/fall goes into the tf2 folder?
I remember someone made a replacement with the one from the road runner's fall sound but i cant find it :c
the dalokohs bar isn't supposed to be foreign afaik. I don't think anything with text outside of triad is supposed to be foreign actually
But Dalokohs is the Russian word for chocolate spelled backwards
I remember someone made a replacement with the one from the road runner's fall sound but i cant find it :c
That someone would be me.
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/100681318/Wile%20E%20Coyote.zip
The file you would be looking for is located in the team fortress 2 conent.gcf at: tf\sound\misc\grenade_jump_lp_01.wav Though the way the sound works is very iffy. It's not just a simple sound file played when you jump, it gets quite complex. The way it works is TF2 changes the original sound file, which sounds like a long aerious sound going at a continuous pitch. When the sound file is played in game, TF2 converts the sounds pitch into a higher pitch, and then decrescendos it to it's regular state. If your planning on making a sound mod using this file, make sure you change it to the right pitch, which would sound lower then it should, and to make it loop continuously correctly. You can achieve this simply by fiddling around with Audacity.
i guess it wont work the way i wanted it to. i was replacing grenade_jump_fall_01 with "i Believe i can fly".
i guess it wont work the way i wanted it to. i was replacing grenade_jump_fall_01 with "i Believe i can fly".
It might actually be funny because it slows down/decreases in pitch as the player drops.
i guess it wont work the way i wanted it to. i was replacing grenade_jump_fall_01 with "i Believe i can fly".
It could work if you make the sound file crescendo to counter TF2's decrescendo, though that would probably take more effort then it's worth.
Is the emporium for models only? I'm going to have some tf2 related programming and web site content to share here in a "bit" so I gotta test the waters.
