not-carrying-a-book
belt
ok i'm done trying to rationalize this item. i still think it looks cool, though.
Ever wanted to stop in the midst of battle and quote the art of war from your exquisite leather-bound copy? Of course you fucking have!
Never mistake technical ability for being fitting. That's why VLEK gets praise for making pyro's head into a snowglobe.
File > Recent Models > select the first line. Yeah I can't get hlmv to load the model by default, I asked on the sdk forums, emailed various Valve employees (programmers) more then a year ago and no one answered if that's possible, until then we'll just have to load the recent model.
Well is there a way to load different models for the items to be loaded with? Like loading a scout body for engineer items, or mannequin head for sniper items.
Welp... Take it and roll with it, try to better what people disagree with. Ultimately, the two things that matter in the world are your opinion of yourself and others opinion of you, and you'll find it's easier to have the former good when you have the latter good. Be proud that you managed to put together an actual, functioning weapon replacement. That's really difficult to do, and taking your first step is always something to be proud of.
Never mistake technical ability for being fitting. That's why VLEK gets praise for making pyro's head into a snowglobe.
VLEK could probably get praise for shitting on a rug to be fair.
Well is there a way to load different models for the items to be loaded with? Whenever there's a model path, or text there on the "override HLMV Main model" it will load that model as main model instead of a class character model. Be aware that if you load an item, for instance I load a hat which only has one bone named "bip_head" the only attachements that will work and display will be from items which have a similar bone named "bip_head".
VLEK could probably get praise for shitting on a rug to be fair.
he would shit on the rug very well but it's still shitting on a rug this analogy is fun
he would shit on the rug very well but it's still shitting on a rug this analogy is fun
Gives me a Pyro misc idea... I call it The Anomaly's Analogy.
More skellingtons. And yes, I did model all those hats/other things from scratch.
The Spy has a nose? That's not right.
More skellingtons. And yes, I did model all those hats/other things from scratch.
Oh good, you added the Ushanka! That makes it much easier to identify. I think apart from the things that people have already mentioned (the Engineer's goggles thing and the Spy's nose), it looks pretty great!
Truthfully, I like the goggles the way they are. It's not as though they'd fit the same with no meat/skin, right?
He looks like Voldemort with no nose.
He looks like Voldemort with no nose.
Rip it open at his nose. So it looks like a bulge.
Truthfully, I like the goggles the way they are. It's not as though they'd fit the same with no meat/skin, right?
My only issue is the bit of the goggles that I know is a gap, but looks like clipping. Otherwise, they look fine!
I'd like to point out that both directories for the Frickin Flamer are incorrect. Model one leads you to - tf/model/weapons/c_model/ - when it should be - tf/model/weapons/c_model/c_degreaser/ and Materials lead to - tf/materials/model/c_items/ - when it should be - tf/materials/model/weapons/c_items/ Just clearing that out for if anyone was wondering why it was installing incorrectly... Cause I had to figure it out when using it. Would be cool if the creators fixed it :v:
he would shit on the rug very well but it's still shitting on a rug this analogy is fun
Fine, but there are a lot of ways to vary your shitting on the rug, some are just better at rug shitting than others. [sp]What are we talking about again?[/sp]
The Spy has a nose? That's not right.
balcalvas have a bulge where the nose will go so it will fit without stretching. They're usually smaller than that but it's not too inaccurate.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/YIG8UPL.png[/t] Come here often, Sally?
Started modeling again after a small break: Its a dressing gown. Going to make some slippers too. Any opinions?
I had to uninstall and re-install Blender because my computer was having problems. When I re-installed and added all of the necessary scripts, I imported a demo and it looked like this. I got an error message, but I couldn't take a screenshot of it (as soon as I moved my mouse off of it, it disappeared). I assuming I forgot one of the scripts, but I don't know which one. Has this happened to anyone else? [editline]9th February 2013[/editline]
Started modeling again after a small break: Its a dressing gown. Going to make some slippers too. Any opinions?
If I were you, I'd add 2 large pocket openings on each side of the bottom, probably with the same "fuzz" as the area around the tie.
Now finishing texture and final tweaks, and it will be up very soon.
VLEK could probably get praise for shitting on a rug to be fair.
Great, now I have the mental image of a jiggleboned turd on a rug stuck on my head. What is wrong with me...
[t]http://i.imgur.com/YIG8UPL.png[/t] Come here often, Sally?
What exactly are you showcasing? If it's the lightwarp, then lemme tell ya, it's freakin' gorgeous.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/Ggzkk3v.png[/t] Okay, so I'm satisfied with the model, but now I'm really not sure what I'm doing at all. I feel like I'm getting ahead of myself, but I'm following the guides I could find, including the one on the TF2 site, as best I can. What am I supposed to be doing? I feel like I messed something up model-wise.
What exactly are you showcasing? If it's the lightwarp, then lemme tell ya, it's freakin' gorgeous.
Naw, that's this great lightwrap. Just a silly pose I took while taking shots for the photo on my dart board shield. Just gonna SFM them. [editline]9th February 2013[/editline] [t]http://i.imgur.com/NYI3YCj.png[/t] Jesus Dick.
Remade Snipers waistcoat, now with 80% more middle undershirt and zip-ness. Might need to brighten the brown a little. Don't know whether to implement any different pattern styles. Tried plaid but wasn't sure about it.
