Smooth out the black finish a bit, and dull the wood or at least use closer colors, the current ones conflict too much. The barrel and the base should match better.

The current colors also feel too bland ordinary gray and brown, got some interesting hues in there Also some of your details are in odd places like the thing on the bottom of the handle, that will only be seen when the weapon is dropped so bother having it? And that large screw on the side looks a bit out of place honestly.

Guys, i downloaded this file sound mod [url]http://tf2.gamebanana.com/sounds/18819[/url] and i noticed the Victory and Loss sounds are not playing. They are on the correct paste, i think. Can anybody help the creator?

It's small even if compared with Engie's. Also, his head is not as much symetric as the other characters (eye's pose, nose size, ear position and mouth look outta place for me). Maybe that's what was bothering be about his human head... I know it's not suppose to be a realistic head, but it looks diferent compared with the other characters head simetry. Also, I like the idea of Pyro been a yougster, like Scout. Really suits his personality. If we are going ahead on his head texture (and can do something creppy outta it), try some burn scars and maybe a lazy eye :3

I notice that the blemishes are kind of hinting at that, especially the nose and lips, but the main color of his skin is too tan. He'll probably have been exposed to flames and smoke a lot, so a dirtier face might match as well, unless you want to stick closer to the concept art. And yeah, the transitions from the different parts of his skin tone is very soft. He seems to be lacking noise, which from the pictures of the other classes like Scout there seems to be a tiny bit of.
The upper lips are way to wide at the sides, lips normally peak at the centre, right now it looks really out of place

Part of the reason why mumbling is so difficult to understand is because of the relatively-low volume at which it's spoken. Even if you just make a moshpit of words, like Boomhaur from King of the Hill, that still forms incomprehensible statements when the game splices the lines together for some of the Pyro's other lines.

To be honest, I think a majority of the Pyro's mumbling is understandable.
I'd think it'd be a good idea if there was an alternate version with some sort of facemask/respirator, that way the original pyro voicelines can be kept with no real issues regarding lipsync.
