it worked well before, but then i changed the rigging and now it's screwed again.
Yeah thats your rigging probably, almost looks like you accidentally switched everything left and right at the top part

Seeing how easy this went I might go around and do first person views for the essential accesories and perhaps spooky gloves if neo is up for that

Fun little mod, it was barely 2 hours of work
Also got it all working as c_scout_arm replacement, but ingame it doesn't show for scattergun. Only scattergun though, pistol works fine so I doubt it's something with v_models or am I mistaken?
The flesh on the gloves are slightly off compared to his arm, but you did mention you only put it all together, not retexture

Also it only seems that they aren't able to pull it off atm, not necessarily that they don't want to.
So who knows, once they figure it out they might want it.
That said it probably has to happen with a promo item first, as seems to be the way things work.

Also, anyone got any handy 3DS Max tutorials for TF2 Item Modelling? The one's on Kritzkast are down for me.
Been doing a bit of modelling and basic animation at college atm, I'd like to have a shot at making some TF2 stuff. It'll also got nicely as a side project within a portfolio for University too

Could you release a fix, maybe with new medibeams for the uber types?

cause they make good mods. if you wear one of those items you probably wear it consistently, and your view models are usually the only you'll see
Maybe its a bad idea to have custom first person models mainly for cosmetic items since its community-made, we don't have the source files (SMD, DMX, QCs...) of these FP models AND imagine how much the game file size would increase just for a variant first person model + texture even if you can mange to reuse the same texture.
Overall it would be just more work and complications, if the game was originally built to have an easier way to implement new items, then yeah sure, for the sake of simplicity and optimization I think it might be better to not make FP models for cosmetics, just my two cents.
models dont take up that much space, so its not that bad of an idea to just have it reuse the texture

Uhm, there's, if I recall correctly, no item that covers the Scout's shirt, so that will always be red/blue.

but they're usually grey so you wouldn't see what team they were on just by looking at them
