The sdk version is broken as fuck and you should never use it...ever. As far as I am aware the tf2 importer is working so use it.

"Working" is a big word, but if you manage to import your stuff it's the best way for valve to review your item.

Texture is still pretty weird, a lot of the shapes are stretched and squashed, also it looks like it has way too many polys for such a simple model, you need to really put some thought into the UVing

It has 448 tris. The texture is really just to test the UV for now.

Not a bad amount, but it's good to get into a habit of making your model optimised.

Originally it had like 224 tris, it was super blocky. Figured I'd save 224 and 112 for LODs.

What you need to do is replace the ball of the sandman with an onion.
Then, whenever the ball hits someone, he says "ONIONS HAVE LAYERS."

I could agree that the bottom of the shirt is a bit stiff, but the shoulder looks quite fine.

The shoulders are where the rigging still isn't right. The armpits need a lot of work, and the deltoid area will need some fine tuning as well. I'm pretty restricted with how much I can do on the top part, though, because of the underlying bulgy mesh.

the stiff parts in question come from the sleeves being somewhat tubular and the bottom of the shirt being a bit straight, but a proper normal map should help that out. looks good.
could somebody take the old mod version of this:
