I think that these pants are currently too bright and colorful for TF2's style.
The most eye-catching sections of the classes' bodies are their torsos so that it allows players to more-easily identify the weapon currently being held, and as a result will more easily identify the threat level of their opponent.
The pants of the classes are intentionally made dark to contrast the comparatively-brighter torsos so that it doesn't draw players' gaze downward.
Maybe while he's holding a minigun the colorful pants won't intrude on that since he holds his primaries at about waist-level. I'm just voicing my opinion on the coloration.

To explain that the first post in this thread is a collection of released mods made by users whom frequent the thread. These images link to downloadable files (rars) so you can use them for yourselves.
Meanwhile throughout the thread people post their work during various stages of development to receive feedback to further refine and improve their work. Or to be totally flashy and radical.
Honestly looks way too close to the default shotgun. Only thing different is the axe on the front. Maybe some sights or something? The body of the shotgun needs a drastic change imo.

The first time i saw this, I thought they were a bit too much of an addition to the character, and broke heavy's lower silhouette too much. Heavy has these really iconic skinny ankles that help keep his mass up high in his shoulders.
Then as you've developed this, I've liked it more and more. but it still feels too much, unless you tucked them into his socks?

Okay, so I was working on this a long while back but didn't finish it. I looked at my models and decided I didn't want them to look that way anymore. But now I don't have time to redo everything, so I'm passing my concept art on to you guys, if anyone wants to take any of this on.

It's a Byzantine Pyro set, because the Byzantines had the original flamethrower.
Pyro Fousta:
A skirt. The belt area should be a neutral color, then the actual skirt would be the same color as his jumpsuit and the hem would be the team colored yellow/orange. If made paintable, only either the hem or the belt area.
Imperial Sash:
Just a nice piece of cloth draped around the Pyro with a neat knot where the grenades used to be. I originally imagined it to be a brown or tan color, but I can imagine it being a darker version of the team color as well. Feel free to make it paintable.
Vangarian Vambrace:
An extension of the pyro's shirt sleeves over his gloves, with a neutral colored armguard strapped over top. The extra sleeve on top is optional, depending on the polycount. (The top sleeve would be a neutral color, with the hems being team colored yellow/orange with a fire pattern over them. Don't make it paintable
Hat:
It's a hat. Made of metal. The chinstrap would be brown, the chainmail is chainmail. Feel free to make it paintable.
Byzantine Blade: It would be black, I think, with a wooden shaft.
Callinicus Contraption: Dark greys and tans. The nozzle and tank are supposed to have team colored designs on them.
Otherwise, I'll leave the textures up to you.
As for why there are three miscs, I thought why the hell not. Don't patronize me.

I like them, but I think they could still stand to be less bright. They still stand out more than his upper torso.
