Are there any working taunt mods around? I saw a few before, except I have no clue where they could be.

so i tried to make the glass on my bat transparent with its alpha channel and it worked for the most part. but i can see it through other parts of the model. Select the faces that use the second texture. In the materials tab, click on the second texture and hit assign. As long as you dont have the texture files in different folders, you dont need another cdmaterials line in your qc. That line just tells the engine where to find the texture files.

i wouldn't go as far as caling it an improvement. i grow used to the contrast between the desaturated models vs the colorful enviroments. if anything, you guys should work towards improving the colourblind mode of the game.
What is the best method to make a nice, good-looking spec/phong mask? I know it involves the alpha channel and using grayscale values to determine the intensity of the light but how do you great texture artists get it to look so clean and seamless? P.S. I'm awful with Photoshop

I'm awful with Photoshop[/QUOTE] generally it looks like, at least with metal, you just start out grayscaling your whole texture and adjusting the levels of your layers to how they should be. also, don't be afraid to use extreme contrast. that's about all I got though because I suck at phong
