The wooden handle?
Also, I'm using a number of mods from this thread and this light mod. You guys have any idea why first-person Rainblower fire is invisible now?
not really, there are some where it just wouldn't work out stainless pot for example wouldn't look good at all
Unless it was the wooden handle that was made paintable
what a waste of resources that is, nobody would notice it Zipperface then.
what a waste of resources that is, nobody would notice it Zipperface then.
Paint the zipper, obviously. Or the skull
The wooden handle?
I'm sure people are itching to paint their pots in all those colors that wood comes in even non-eye rape paints become eye rape when they don't make sense
Texas Slim's Dome Shine? Shitposting aside, I agree that items should be made paintable if (and only if) it makes sense for them to be able to have weird colors. Pink, lime, tinge and hue are horrible, but if one item is left unpaintable the people with terrible taste will just wear something they can paint instead; Their existence is not a valid reason to stop people with good taste who want to use nice colors. Fun fact: In academic writing, 'if and only if' can be shortened to 'iff'.
I'd go a step further and say even if a bulk of non-weird colors make sense make it paintable. the pot still doesn't fit that though. [editline]6th February 2013[/editline] also "iff" is not appropriate for formal writing it is shorthand primarily for fields of logic

With 'weird', I'm referring to stuff like Slate, Green and Teamcolors. Basically everything that isn't brown or grey.
thoughts?
With 'weird', I'm referring to stuff like Slate, Green and Teamcolors. Basically everything that isn't brown or grey.
well I mean "weird" is really case by case for example a grass skirt is most appropriate in green and team colors would be weird on it
Engi-bot's head has this weird lighting problem. His head looks like its constantly in sunlight. In TF2 gameplay it's not a problem, but on servers with a robot command or Garry's Mod, it's really annoying. Anyone got a fix?
It's just me or the Engibot sometimes sounds like a normal Engi, like pain and death screams?
That too. Anyone help us out?
thoughts?
it looks really unconventional, is it based on anything in particular?
only the grip, and thats off some strange derringer i found
thoughts?
For me it looks like Spinfusor from Tribes. Kind of.
Forcing a mechanic like paintability onto an item might good idea to mandate onto item makers, but with flawed colours that also happen to be popular to use despite that quality, it doesn't really seem particularly lucrative for somebody who cares about their work to use. I have seen Hawf bemoan that the Fast Learner, a good item independent of paints, is most painted in the gaudiest colours. We shouldn't allow Valve's mistakes to restrict how we create paintability with item designs, even with those colours in the pallete to chose from. Some paints are actually good. Some paints will actually make an item look good if they're used on it. How about that. Really, it all boils down to context. The Steel Pot will look terrible painted, and to have that mechanic forced onto it would not make it any better. A fedora on the other hand, with the right colours, might look nice. But it's down to the creators and their wants, and Valve should respect that. People might feel a lot better about their in-game item looking like it should be in TF2.
Still pictures don't really do it much justice.
could you make the flames team colored? and yes i am back after being banned for trying to be funny
Anyone gonna help me out with my problem?
How about that ?
How about that ?
See, it's not the color of the thing. The colors were great, it's the design. General shape. I'd say sample the tie for the band, sample the pinstripes (not the suit) for the hat itself, and see about making it less shiny. It's certainly nice, just clashes in a very dull, non eye-catching sense. Edit: also see about making it a little lower. Shorten the top and lengthen the bottom so it looks like it sits lower. Maybe at an angle.
How about that ?
This is the way to get retired hats back into the game, with clever changes. [editline]5th February 2013[/editline]
Anyone gonna help me out with my problem?
Nobody will help you if you're this impatient.
Sorry. It's just kinda pissing me off. I need it for gmod.

[editline]6th February 2013[/editline] Oh yeah Inspecter got there first.
That sounds like you have an outdated flamethrower particle effect, try deleting your particle folder.
Worked. Thanks, doll.
