When you deal with the manifest, the best way is to let the game do it, if you manage to make it work.
If you made it work, you got the dmx, so everything's okay. If you don't, it's probably better to use .smd, but i can't say for sure that it'll work for valve.
And iirc the texture don't need extensions.
Always nice to see more sporty weapons for the scout.

So it took part of ItemToast to make this... it might be useful for those who write the TF2 wiki and take screenshots but also for modelers.
I don't know about you but HLMV is old as fuck, and I hate its browser, and having to guess the model names or edit the register to attach multiple models, this will do it for you.

You can of course define custom model paths (see bottom of the app interface) by adding the path int he box and clicking "add".
It also enabled the normal mapping and lets you define the background color, let me know if you can think of any useful feature for this I should add.

no proxies are able to do anything
of course to be really useful you'd have to be able to adjust values being input into the proxies (which in turn would allow you to apply paint and remove fire overlay)

What are proxies supposed to do?
If its HLMV not loading some vmt parameter, I can't edit hlmv at that level.
You can force paint colors to display in hlmv with the vmt parameter "$color2"

Those involve editing the VMT file(s) of the model, so if its a model that's on the game GCF the application have to extract the model, analyze it to find its materials ,extract VMTs to the /tf/ game directory and edit them.
If its a model that is already in /tf/ then I can temporarily edit the VMT to disbale the fire overlay and once you are done you click some button on the application so it restores your vmt to what you originally had.
I could also have an option that lets you switch the color set in the VMT and refresh the hlmv instead of text editing the vmt.
Then again that would be a bit "dangerous" as if the user exits the applicaiton, or it would crash (which so far is unlikely) it would leave those edited VMTs for preview, of course I would have the application make a backup of those vmt before editing it.
