My advice, don't ask for less than 2 hats. Try to wangle 3 if you can, there'll always be people who want it. Don't fold early, and make sure you get exactly what you want for it.

Items, not sure on that front. A lot.

Well I think you could get easily Max's head because back then there was only 4 slots.
