That might be because ping is about network latency and will have practically nothing to do with programs installed on your computer

I thought ping went by how long it takes you to send information to the server you are playing on.

It sounds really doubtful it's Source's fault. If it worked fine until today then surely it's something else rather than the engine. As for what, who knows. None of us know what exactly is happening.

I'm not saying it's because Source. What I am saying is that despite I closes all the programs that used internet, I have high ping which is strange because this morning I had normal one.

ooooh , Lag problem question , so playiag sai sorry if the txt has spelling mistakes i cant edit it's lagging to bad so , I was playing and there massive lag spike apears , i closed most my tabs everything but SR3 steam and this page , i quit and tryed loading up something not RAM eat-ness like TF2 That was lagging at about 7 fps , than i tryed something real simle like Realm of the mad god , about 8~11 FPS But i checked my task manager and nothing is using above 7%... Halwp

TF2 needs an hours-played badge that levels based on hours.
I don't care if it'd be easily farmable, and nothing but a used-up backpack slot weeks after the hype of release wears off. I'm getting pretty close to 10k hours, and I need ease of access to dick waving.
